Maddie's POV:

"Come in!" I yell as I hear someone knock on the door to my room which I've slightly decorated. I've put LED lights around the edges and corners and gotten two bedside tables, new sheets, new pillows, a new comforter, and curtains for the windows. I turn to the door and Josh walks through, sitting down next to me on my bed. "Hey Josh! What's up?" I ask. He grins.

"Do you want to go on a date? Please? Pleaaaaaaase?" He whines like a four year old. I giggle.

"You know what? Sure. Why not?" I reply, standing up and he looks at me, bewildered.

"I-I didn't expect you to say yes so quickly!" He explains. I smile at him.

"Hurry up before I change my mind!" He stands up quickly. I laugh.

"Where are we going? Do I need to change?" I ask, looking down at my leggings and oversized hoodie. He laughs.

"Nah, it's okay." He says and I survey my outfit again, reluctant. "No really, it's okay!" He says, and with that, he grabs my hand and pulls me out the door. I allow it to happen, and soon, we're in his car.

"Are you kidnapping me?" I ask jokingly and he laughs, but then his face turns serious.

"Yes." He says seriously, and I stare at him, a little freaked out before he bursts out into laughter, and I do to, slightly relieved. Soon, we pull up to a... Red Robin? I break out into a grin and throw myself out of the car the second he parks. He laughs again. "Oh my god, you're so childish!" He says and I laugh, this time me pulling him into the restaurant.

"I know, but you took us here so you are too!"

"Touche." He says and we go into Red Robin. It's 4:30 pm, so it's only about a quarter full.

"Just a party of two? Or more coming?" The waitress asks and I smile.

"Just two! Thank you very much!" I say politely and she smiles and nods, handing us our menus and leading us to our table. We take a seat. She's about to walk away when I speak up again. "Excuse me? Can we please have a kids menu?" I ask and she laughs and nods, walking off to go get one. Josh rolls his eyes at me, but he's smiling. She returns and I open it with a grin.

"Hi, I'm Ophelia and I will be your waitress for today! I'll be back in a few minutes to take your drink orders!" She says, and with that, she walks away and me and Josh start playing Tic-Tac-Toe.

"HAH I WIN! YOU LOSE! I'M BETTER THAN YOUUUUU!" I cheer and catch the attention of the few people in here. I flush and sink far down into my seat. Josh laughs at my embarrassment and my I blush an even deeper shade of scarlet. I hide my face with the menu, starting to look at the menu for my drink. Just in time, Ophelia walks back over to our table.

"What would you like to order as your drink?" She asks, taking out a note-pad. I nod at Josh, signaling for him to order first.

"I'll have a coke I guess..." He says and Ophelia nods, writing that down. She turns to me.

"I'll have a strawberry lemonade please!" I say enthusiastically and they both laugh. She scribbles that down and walks off to go get our drinks.

"God, you really are childish." He says, staring at me. I blush and giggle a little. I start to color the template and about 3 minutes later Ophelia comes with our drinks and I automatically take a sip of my lemonade. I let out a sigh of pleasure after swallowing the sip I had in my mouth, causing more laughter from Josh and Ophelia.

"Do you two know what you'd like to eat? Or would you like more time?" Ophelia asks, smiling kindly. I nod, saying I'm ready. She turns to me, once again taking out her notepad.  I glance down at the kids menu.
