After what seemed like forever, I heard police cars roll onto the drive, officers jumping out and sprinting to find mum and Tripp.

I saw Docter Leon and dad as well, searching the grounds for me. Quickly, I pushed the mop aside and bundled myself in dad's arms.

"Lola, lolly, oh, don't do that to me again, that was so scary." He pulled me into a tight hug.

When we finally pulled apart, Docter Leon gave me a once over. "You seem alright physically-- how are you mentally?"

I shrug. "I've been worse." Hhm, I actually don't think I have: this is the worst place I've ever been, my anxiety and panic at it's peak.

Docter Leon nodds and smiles softly. "I am so sorry you both had to go through this; please do call me if you ever need help. I would love to help you two again."

Dad grins at her, and to my surprise he pulls her into a hug, even kissing her cheek.

"Stop being so serious Sasha," he whispered in her ear, making her blush. "We can tell her."

Docter Leon's face is completely scarlett and she looks at me apologetically.

"Your dad can be very.... sedusive."

I gasp, my eyes bulging. "For real? You two?"

Dad's eyes were twinkling as he winks at me. Docter Leon just has a happy look on her face.

Huh. Of all the times they could have hooked up, they had to do it now? Oh well, you can't judge nature.

"Congrats." I clap my hands teasingly.

"Now," Docter Leon clears her throat, "Back got he situation at hand-- your mum. I'm going to see if they've got her yet."

She sets off running towards a police van with a huddle of officers near it. Me and dad hurry behind her.

As we get closer, I can see they've got mum, and she's sat in the backseat with her arms handcuffed. She scowls at us and looks away. Tripp was no where to be seen.

"Did you catch Tripp?" I ask, staring up at the chief policeman.

He shakes his head, a bead of sweat rolling down his forehead from running around searching for mum. "Tripp? There was no one else in there except her. And you, of course."

I try to remember to breath, try to convince myself it's ok, that Tripp is not on the loose. Anyway, he wouldn't harm me as long as I have him his sweets. Note to self: buy Tripp loads of chocolate.

I force a smile at the officer and look at dad, who is staring at mum with a pained expression.

"Hey, you ok?" I nudge him gently.

He looks at me, startled. "Yeah, oh yeah. Shall we go home, kiddo?"

"Actually, can we go to the confectionary shop on the corner?"

Dad looks puzzled but agrees. "I'll just say bye to Sasha."

"Ooh!" I tease as he walks away. I turn and make my way to the car, but something on the dashboard catches my attention.

It was a note that said 'chocolate buttons, fizzy sweets and one of those free refil jars please. Drop off back here'. I look up and check the area for Tripp, but he no where.

Ok, that's creepy. But I hopp in the front seat anyway and turn up the radio.

Gravel crunches under my heel as I step off my bike. I was back at the small cottage where mum and Tripp had taken me, where I was meeting Tripp to give him his payback.

I couldn't see him, but there was another note that said 'leave here please. Thank you for the payback'.

I crouched down and placed the box of sweets down on the note. "There you are Tripp!" I shouted, unsure if he could hear me. "I've got you your sweets, so leave me alone!"

There was no answer, so I smiled smugly and biked away from that odd place.
