I missed you

EDDIE'S POV

I grab my car keys and run out the house, chucking my school bag in the boot.

It is Thursday, but I'm not on my way to school-- I'm making a trip to Knaresborough.

Its been three weeks since Lola moved out, and jeez, I miss her. I've never felt like this before. I miss her so bad at night, my arms literally ache without her. My heart feels heavy all the time, and I'm restless. Girls don't even interest me any more; it's like I don't notice them.

So, that's why I'm on my way to surprise Lola. We didn't exactly give her a nice goodbye, but I will go crazy if I don't see her again. I wonder how she's doing? Has she made new friends? I bet she's the most popular girl in Knaresborough! Wait... has she got a boy friend? Oh, what will I do if she has? Should I still go? Of course I should still go, I shouldn't talk like that-- I'm just visiting a friend, that's all. She wouldn't be cheating on anyone. If she even has a boyfriend, that is.

I pull onto the highway and sigh. I've got 2 more hours to go until I see her again.

Turning on the radio, I smile as my favourite song comes along.

"Cause God is a dancer!" I scream as the chorus comes on. Mabel is an absolute angel.

LOLA'S POV

I rake a hand through my hair, my scalp hurting from yesterday.

I'd spent all my time after school working, my hair pulled into a tight high ponytail. Where I work, at Costa, make me wear all black, with my hair always up.

For the three weeks I've been here, I have been settling in at the high school.

I've forgotten what it's like to have people in your life that don't know about your scarred past. It's amazing not feeling guilty everyday.

Dad has been making friends at work as well, and he's especially enjoying his new job. He's working at the local police office, after finishing his training a week ago.

After the run in with mum back in our old town, Dad decided he wanted to go into security so he would know what to do. Turns out, it's his dream job! Plus he's also prepared if mum ever decides to pop over for tea again (note the sarcasm).

The schools alright. I've made lots of new friends and met new peoplw, but the two names that stick out the most are Jasmine and Luca.

Jasmine has long, curly chocolate hair and hazel eyes, her face elegant and dainty. She was super nice to me on my first day-- She invited me to sit with her and let me follow her around. I've stuck with her since then.

Luca is nice, but I constantly have to friend zone him. He sits next to me in form time, so as you can imagine, he's quite a pain. That's the only reason his name sticks out to me: I don't like him... like like him. I don't even like him as a friend.

That's cause I've got another boy on my mind. I've been missing him so much, wishing I could go back and see him. But I'm scared how he will act if I surprise him; he might still be angry at me.

I grab a spoon, pull out a tub of ice cream and snuggle up on the sofa. Dad is at work, and my homework is all done. It's time for vampire diaries!

But something interrupted me in the middle of my third episode, just as Elena went missing as well! Ugh, are you kidding.

The doorbell rang again, so I hollar, "Coming!" Before leaping to the door. I peek through the peephole, something I always do now.

I'm shocked to see Eddie standing on my doorstep, his hands in his pockets, looking nervous.
