LOLA'S POV

I've now been in a relationship with Eddie for a month, and I still haven't told him the fact that my mum killed his parents. Its just hard, you know? How am I supposed to say it... 'Hey Ed, you know how your parents died four years ago? Yeah... My mum was the one that killed them!'

He could take it badly as well, maybe even end our relationship! That's the worst case scenario.

We are having a date tonight, which is movie night at my house.

Last time, I went to his town, and we had a picnic in the park.

Dad and I have been brainstorming plans to tell Eddie, and I think we've finally come up with the perfect one.

I'm going to invite him in, we're going to sit at a candle lit romantic dinner, then once we've finished we will head to the sofa, where I will show him a slide of pictures and happy memories of his parents. Then I will tell him, and hopefully he won't rush out of the door and head for Jamaica.

So that's why I'm sat at my vanity, applying my smoky eyeshadow. I've even taken the time to find and apply a waterproof mascara, because I predict tears tonight.

EDDIE'S POV

Turning onto Lola's drive, I smile as I see her slender figure open the door to greet me.

"Eddie!" She cried, giving me a soft kiss on the lips.

Cradling her in my arms, I sigh happily. We've been meeting up every week on Saturday, but you'd be surprised how much I miss her inbetween.

It's a lot better then not seeing her at all though.

"How was your week?" Lola asks as she leads me to the dinner room.

I gasp as I look around: the table has been cleared of all chairs except two, a romantic candle flickering between the two. There are dishes of pasta, the type in 'Lady and the Tramp'. Pasta sauce and garlic bread are also being displayed on plates, along with cups of lemonade.

"Did you do all this for me?"

Lola nods, looking pleased that I like it.

"Of course! I decided to do something special today."

To thank her, I come forward and kiss her cheek. She giggles shyly before ushering me to my seat.

And oh my... the food! It may sounds simple, just pasta, but it was fabulous! When I asked Lola where she got the pasta, she said she made it aswell; that's some talent.

But now we're curled up on the sofa, Lola resting on my chest. Yup, I was right, it totally pays off to wake up early and head to the gym.

She's setting up her laptop, for something I'm not quite sure. I think we're going to watch something, when an image shows up on the screen.

It's my parents.

I almost choke on air.

Soft music starts playing, and there is another picture of my whole family, smiling at the camera.

I feel sick to my stomach.

The picture changes again, and this time it's one I've never seen before-- my parents on their wedding day.

They look so happy and naive, staring at each other with sparkly eyes.

The image switches to a photo of me and James being held in my parents arms as babies, still at the hospital.

The picture changes again, to another sweet image, but I've had enough.

Why is Lola doing this? Does she want me to cry? Why is she deliberately bringing up my parents, for no obvious reason? She knows I never talk about them-- they're a sore subject!
