All shops owned currently closedIt's time for some MA & Food Souls moment
Basically an AU where the villains are nice, for once
"I've had it with you! Why can't you leave me alone you ignorant, lame excuse for a Master Attendant!"
Everything halted to a dead stop in the currently closed restaurant when those words left Boston Lobster's lips. Pizza stared in shock; Rice cowered behind Toast in fear; Hawthorne Ball froze in her place; Sandwich and Omurice tried to stutter out an excuse for Akumu to leave; and everyone else watched on.
Akumu's eyes hid behind the shadows her bangs held, hands shoved in her jeans pocket and standing before Boston, not daring to meet his enraged eyes. Her lips slowly curled up into a sad smile as she answered in a whisper, "I know."
The room is filled with gasps and protests towards Boston to knock it off and apologise to Master Attendant but both of them held their ground.
"I know because I've heard those words in all of my life, starting from the time I could understand what they mean." Akumu's head tilted up for her eyes to meet his and he could see the un-shed tears glossing over her eyes but still, her smile is still intact yet a frown is trying to replace it.
"I've been mentally and emotionally degraded, Boston Lobster. At first, I can't take it, I really can't but now... it's to the point it becomes laughable to me, it becomes a joke my minds takes seriously."
Cassata stood up and tried to intervene but a hand on his wrist by Cheese made him stop, forced to sit down again and watch the whole ordeal.
"I don't care what you or your gang of villains whisper behind my back ever since I've completed on summoning all of you." She heaved through gritted teeth and that was the last straw for her suppression.
A tear slipped down her cheek as her voice wavered in yelling at him, "But I'm trying, Boston! I'm trying to mold myself into the Master Attendant that is flexible in helping all of you!"
Boston Lobster held back a gasp, his hands clenching into fists as he realised he got a first-hand experience of watching their Master Attendant break down — and in front of him too.
"You wanted to wipe all of humanity, isn't that right?" Akumu's tears rushed down uncontrollably as she smiled up at the food soul, the intensity of her tears causing her body to shiver involuntarily. Boston couldn't do anything but stiffly nod as an answer to her question.
"You once said that the contract between you and me is holding you back from doing so." Akumu pointed out and slowly, she held out her hand and her smile faltered into a frown, aggressively wiping the tears away with her other hand. "Then, take my life as the start of your plan."
"Master Attendant!" The food souls (not everyone, but most of them) in the room gasped loudly, some even stood up from their seats and is ready to square Boston Lobster up, their weapons ready.
"Once the contract is gone, you're free." Akumu gulped down the hitch in her throat, taking a step forward, closer to the other food soul in front of her. "All of you are free. Isn't that what you wanted, Boston Lobster?"
Boston's fists clenched, biting down on his lower lip and still comprehending her words. Why and how is she giving up her life so easily? Does she know the outcomes of when a Master Attendant dies during a contract with a food soul?
