Autumn 2020, 7:45 AM
Monday, Restaurant

"P- Please, sir, get down from the table." Sandwich sputtered, tears building up in his eyes and his figure shaking as he mustered all of his willpower to continue absorbing the spiteful words of the delinquent.

"I ASKED FOR 2 LARGE FRIES!" The delinquent harshly threw the bags down, letting the contents spill everywhere on the seats, tables, and floor. "INSTEAD I GOT A HUNDRED FUCKING LITTLE ONES! I PAYED JUST TO GET THESE?!"

"Then might as well leave." Black Tea pressed the hole of her gun against the delinquent's back with a small, bitter smile gracing her lips.

The delinquent squeaked when it felt the gun press against its back, jumping down the table and running out the restaurant, where it dispersed from their sights.

Hawthorne Ball and Pancake grumbled protests under their breaths as they cleaned the place, saying that it was a waste of ingredients and such.

"Sandwich, you're going to cry." Toast gestured for him to come over in which the smaller food soul complied, burying his face in his chest to muffle his cries.

Popcorn burst through the kitchen door when he heard Sandwich crying (how he heard it, I don't know), heading over to comfort the other food soul in concern.

Toast gave an obscure look to Popcorn before handing Sandwich over to him, letting them have their alone time as he ushered the two young food souls away from the peering eyes of the customers.

Pudding rubbed his eyes with one hand as his other hand skillfully managed the cash register, holding back a yawn when the restaurant doors swung open so harshly he could've sworn it could come off its hinges.

Steak walked in almost... desperately, like he was trying to get away from someone as he wiped his own blood from his open wound after a harsh exploration, eyes darting around to at least find a subtle hint of a certain vampire.

"Steak~!" Bloody Mary purred, a hand placed on said food soul's shoulder to stop his pace, his face leaning closer to his open wound. "Why are you ignoring me?"

A few customers let out a yelp of undignified fear, utensils dropping when Blood Mary was kicked away from Steak to the point his back hit a wall, a food soul Steak was looking for earlier manifesting out of thin air.

"Touch him one more time and I swear you will lose your arms." Red Wine hissed, his sword out in the open and the tip pointing at Bloody Mary's direction, pushing Steak behind him.

Bloody Mary groaned as he detached his back from the wall, dropping to the floor in all fours, the force of Red Wine's kick creating a crater in the wall.

During this, Rice had slipped away to report what was happening in the lobby.

The two vampires were about to full-on battle in the restaurant (mind you, full of customers) when a booming voice stopped them, unfiltered rage in its voice.

"HEY!" The unfiltered rage-filled tone in Akumu's voice also included venom, like a snake ready to launch at its prey. "IF YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO FIGHT, AT LEAST DO IT OUTSIDE! NOT HERE WHERE THE CUSTOMERS ARE PRONE TO GET HURT!"

Akumu grumbled under her breath as she ordered Black Tea to call Milk before she goes out to explore, gesturing Steak to disappear off in the clinic for him to get healed. "Honestly, Bloody Mary, you should know by now."

Bloody Mary sighed and got up from the floor, being ejected by a furious Pancake out of the restaurant.

"So, Master Attendant." Pudding appeared beside her, a hand on his hip as the two observed the crater in the wall. "What do we do with... that..."

"I'll think about it." She rubbed her temples to cease the growing headache. She swears her food souls will be the death of her.

10:00 AM
Monday, Outskirts of Light Kingdom

The waves crashing softly against the rocks, the ripple of the current being carried by the soft breeze of the wind

"Ow, be careful."

"Sorry, does it still hurt?"

"Yeah."

Zitui Bun frowned as he delicately brushed his fingers against Longjing Tea's right horn, whose one part of it chipped away during a fight against an enhanced Uke Mochi.

A few tears slipped down Longjing's cheeks from the overbearing pain from the horn in which Zitui generously wiped the away.

"Should we call Wuyi?" Zitui Bun suggested to him, receiving a solemn shake of a head in return.

"It'll heal, but it takes a painfully long time." Longjing Tea lifted a hand up to stop the other food soul's repeated action, lacing their fingers together.

Zitui Bun simply hummed, resting his head on the other's shoulder, closing his eyes in pure bliss, surrounded by peace and quiet. Understandably, they wanted to spend their precious time together, without the annoying ruckus of Dragon & Phoenix and occasionally, with Realgar Wine.

"The others might call a search party." Zitui Bun whispered, not bothering to look up to see the expression on Longjing Tea's face. He knows him well enough to know.

"They won't." Longjing Tea replied in a hushed voice, involuntarily running his fingers through his long, soft hair. "They'll understand that we need to take a break."

The other food soul drifted off to sleep, causing Longjing Tea to carefully shift his head to rest on his lap, eyes looking up on the clouds above, letting out a breath to release the pent-up anger bubbling in his systems.

"Oh, you're here." A new voice dictated, making him whip his head around to see a vaguely familiar long, pink-haired male resembling a bunny with a yellow-haired male crouching beside him, both perching on a sturdy branch. "Hello, Longjing Tea."

He blinked in confusion for a moment, staring at the other male before his mind finally caught up. "Oh, Long Bao. Are you looking for me?"

"Well, kind of." Crab Long Bao scratched the nape of his neck sheepishly, an awkward smile gracing his lips. "You see, your friends ordered a search party with the Forgotten Courtyard."

Longjing Tea let out an exasperated sigh, exhaustion evident in his face, making Long Bao and Crab glance at each other for a moment.

"Say, we won't tell them of your whereabouts here—" Long Bao suggested, a hand outstretched with a gleaming smile. "—And we'll try to convince them to cancel the search party. It's painfully obvious you're tired, Longjing Tea."

The mentioned food soul smiled at them, thankful as he simply nodded in reply, looking down at the sleeping figure of Zitui Bun.

The other two food souls grinned and disappeared, leaving Longjing Tea with Zitui Bun in solitude.

》Meanwhile《

Crab Long Bao and Long Bao managed to convince Dragon's Beard Candy to cancel the party, and now they are trailing behind the few members of Forgotten Courtyard.

"Honestly Crabs, I don't know how we convinced her even though we are trash at lying." Long Bao commented under his breath, causing Crabs to let out an inelegant snort.

"Yeah, I don't know too."
