Monday, after the beach
All shops are currently closed"How's Master Attendant?" Rice shuffled away from Yellow Wine's lap after sobbing into his shoulder to approach Milk and Fondant Cake, both with disdain looks splattered onto their faces.
"She unconscious but fine overall. She needs to rest for now after the rope cut off her oxygen supply." Milk frowned at the evident puffy eyes and tear-stained cheeks of the other food soul, patting her head to reassure her. "If Pudding checked up on Master Attendant a few minutes later, I'm sure she would've suffered brain damage."
"It's all because of Boston Lobster!" Ichi roared, slamming his palms down on the table, causing them to look at him. "If that damn— that damn food soul didn't pick a fight with her, this wouldn't have happened!"
"We can't turn back time now, can we?" Yuxiang shot him a sorrowful glance, crossing her arms with one elbow propped up on the table, leaning against it. "I'm glad the restaurant's closed for the day. If not, all hell would've broke loose already."
"On the topic of the damn lobster." Long Bao absent-mindedly swirled his already cold tea in his hands, head thrown back on the chair he is sitting on. "Where is he? Peking Duck too."
"Peking Duck went off to search for Boston Lobster." Yuxiang replied, humming a tune under her breath to bypass the slow time.
"Though, they should be back by now." Red Wine pointed out, staring at the main entrance of the restaurant as if expecting for the duo to come busting in the least they expected it.
"Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they're back by tomorrow morning." Dorayaki retorted as his hands played tricks with his yo-yo to entertain his sister and Sashimi. "Yet we, as her employees in the restaurant, have to act like nothing had happened for the customers not to suspect."
"C'mon, the atmosphere is too depressing!" Whiskey whined in a childish manner, his attitude towards the other food souls lightening up due to their Master Attendant berating him every time she caught him tormenting the Italian Trio. "We should be happy that she's alive, right?"
"YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOU'RE TOO LATE TO SAVE YOUR MASTER ATTENDANT!" Cassata snapped, eyes fueled with rage as he glared at the other male before letting out a sarcastic comment. "Oh, right, you can't because you are the sole reason why Pizza's kingdom collapsed!"
"Wait, Whiskey was the reason why the kingdom collapsed?" Cheese asked Pizza, voice barely above a whisper as tears formed in her eyes.
"ENOUGH FIGHTING, GOD DAMNIT!" Sukiyaki exploded, letting out a huff of breath as he pulled one of Sanma's (who is absent in the restaurant) cats close to his chest to calm him down. "We should all be getting along for Master Attendant."
"Just for her and nobody else's?" Steak raised an eyebrow to contradict Sukiyaki's statement.
"And for the sake of the future, obviously." Sukiyaki added with a smile gracing his lips, causing every food soul in the room to have smiles on their faces. "Let bygones be bygones— I'm looking at you, Bloody Mary."
"What did I do?!" Bloody Mary whined, hands up in the air.
"You're all over Steak every time you visit." Red Wine growled, hiding his glare by sipping on his wine glass. "Stay back, he's mine."
"You collaborated with Whiskey to try to kill Pretzel, you dumb fuck." Fish and Chips reminisced, eyes boring into his soul.
"Okay! Okay! I admit it was my fault." He caved in, realising his mistake but dragged Black Pudding into it. "But Black Pudding also took part in it, so it's also her fault."
