Monday morning came and everything from Friday night was still very much in the back of my mind. I tried dismissing the thoughts all weekend but when I woke up this morning, everything came back.
What if everyone didn't forget Friday night and what Jamie did only made things worse.
God let's hope not.
Dinner last night was amazing. Chase was here and mom couldn't stop smiling at him. She kept saying how proud she was that he was here and not off with that Patricia.
Chase has yet to tell them that he's no longer seeing her or anything that happened Friday night.
I kept looking over at Chase as I could see the guilt eating him alive. We both know that keeping things in this family isn't the best and since I've already dug my grave, Chase was next in line.
But dinner was definitely different and it felt great. We were laughing and actually having a family time, which we haven't had in weeks since everything has been a little hectic.
It feels as though everything is starting to slow down a little now.
When dinner was over, Chase came in my room for a few hours that night. He had his guitar and wanted to learn some new chords.
I was more than happy to help him out.
As we were making up songs and learning chords, we had moments where we would talk about Friday night then talked about what might happen tomorrow.
"Don't think too much of it."
He was nervous for me and it showed. He was also nervous that Patricia might try to talk to him, which I told him that if she does, to come find me.
Chase gave me a piece of paper, which had Patricia's name on it with lyrics from a song written on it. "I'm such an idiot." He sighs. "I thought I was in love and I thought she felt the same way."
Hearing Chase say that made me feel so bad for him. I could tell that Patricia was making him happy, but she just used him for sex.
"Patricia is a manipulator and a liar. You did nothing wrong."
We played for a moment until he looks over at me. "What are you going to do about Tory? Aren't you afraid that people won't forget Friday and they'll be watching you?"
I shrug as I stare at the guitar for a moment. "I'm not thinking much of it. I just want everything to go back to normal."
"Me too." He sighs as he continues to play, letting the music take over and I couldn't help but smile as I watch him.
After Chase left, I laid on my bed and stared up at the skylight for a moment. I really couldn't wait until tomorrow but then again, I had a feeling in my gut about something.
I couldn't stop thinking about Tory though and that made me smile.
By tomorrow morning, maybe everything will be fine and there will be nothing to worry about.

Chase and I ate breakfast the next morning and mom was beaming. She made the best food and Chase ate three plates of it.
Blueberry waffles with bacon.
"You sure were hungry." Mom smiles at Chase.
He nods as he chugs his milk. "It was delicious."
Mom packed us a lunch for the day, and I totally forgot that I don't have a card. I mean, it really didn't bother me all week about not having one cause I hardly ever use it.
