Chapter 8 - Final test

Shoji's POV

"Very well. Your next test is a fight." She says with a smirk on her face. Not a mean one but an excited one.

"A fight with who?" Kuraim says standing up.

"With yours truly." She responds. "Basically, both of you will fight me together. But, I have a twist." She says spinning round. Her cloak swaying due to the momentum.

"Which is?" I ask. Raising up my left eyebrow in confusion.

"You will have to find out. Now, I would go easy on you but my rules say that I have to treat everyone equally. So, just remember if you fail. I won't be happy about it. I already think you guys deserve it but I have to do this. I'm sorry?" She says sadly. She must know how we feel. I wonder if this happened to her once. But, she didn't have to do tests. I don't blame her for doing tests there is a lot of greedy people out there. 

"You don't have to apologise. I'm glad you are treating everyone equally. It proves that you are a good person. So, thank you." I calmly say to her. 

"Ok thank you Shoji. You two ready for this?" She questions. Pulling the hood of the cloak onto her head.

Me and Kuraim nod in sync and smoke starts to quickly fill the room. Light Blue and Purple. I wonder what light blue means?

I tilt me head at the new colour of smoke but quickly fall unconscious.

The Arena

I open my eyes to a place that doesn't even look real. It's an island shaped like a circle. It's large but not large enough that I can still see where the edge is. Lining the outside are pitch black hills. I can't see any detail on them just black. And only black. Everything around me is black.

To my left I see Kuraim. Laying there.

"Kuraim! You ok?" I question him.

He looks at me and gets up.

"Sorry I was uh-um. Laying on the ground because it felt like a really nice bed." He says nervously.

"I-" I begin to speak until a loud crash can be heard. Then the ground begings to shake. I panic slightly until I spot something strange.

The ground in the center of this dark island disappears. It stays like that for a few seconds until a giant fight appears from it. It's Lotuns. Is this meant to be a fair fight because it isn't.

"Hello you two!" She bellows. Not in an angry tone but in a serious tone. 

"How in the hell are we mean to fight you! Your giant!" Kuraim shouts so she can hear him.

"I should mention that earlier I was lying. Your not fighting me. Your fighting these." She responds. She puts her clossal hand on the ground. Suddenly a bright light emits from it. After a couple seconds she lifts her hand back up. Suddenly there are figures from where her hand was.

"They are my minions. 3...2...1 FIGHT!" She shout and the group of figures split up and run at us.

As they approach I can see that they all have the same body shape. Then I see it. It's Fumi! I-I have to kill Fumi. Multiple times.

Kuraim's POV

That group of shapes split up and start running at me and Shoji. I whimper in fear as they get closer. I'm not a fighter. I don't like to. But, to save my brother I have to. Then the things get closer. There are all the same shape. Then I see it with my two eyes. It's Archie! Why is he here!
