"Okay, can someone tell me what was so important?" asked Kara as she entered the Arrow Bunker
"Kara, it's Mia, Evelyn, and Astra. They're on a rampage!" Diggle said to her, his relief very apparent
"What? Why? Where? What happened?"
"William, teenager William, was kidnapped earlier. We told them to wait until Felicity had found him but Astra said she would find him herself. Mia and Evelyn ran after their sister."
"They're crazy!" said Rene as he walked back from the guys' locker room "They might be Oliver daughters but even with Astra's enlightened senses, that's fucking suicide"
"Found them!" shouted Felicity from her computer "The girls are in the Glades! A warehouse on 9th avenue!"
"I'm going up ahead! Join me with the others later!" declared Kara as she walked toward the elevator
"Kara!" shouted Felicity
The Kryptonian turned toward her, her eyes hard from the last jealousy fit that the computer genius had given her "Please, please bring them back"
"I will. But not for you" she said as the elevator's doors closed
No doubt, the person who had pulled off William's kidnapping had known from the start that taking the son of the hero of the multiverse would have repercussions. However, from the number of bodies lying in the warehouse's door, they had not expected three young, well-trained, and still emotionally unstable women to storm their HQ this soon. And this violently.
Kara hadn't met any of the girls prior to Crisis. In fact, she had first met them when the heroes of Earth-1 had arrived at the DEO. An arrival that had taken her even more by surprise then everybody else, as she had come to need to prepare herself mentally to seeing Oliver without acting like a madly in-love teenager around him. Learning that he had taken Evelyn under his wing and that his two biological daughters had come back from the future had shocked her even more.
But not more than realizing that one of the two blonds wore the crest of the House of El on her chest, despite the fact that she, just like her father and siblings, wore a quiver full of arrows on her back. What distinguished her from who she learned to be Mia, however, was the sword at her side and the flechettes on her right thigh and left wrist.
Some of which flechettes could be found on the neck of some of the fallen thugs that almost fully prevented Kara from seeing the ground. "Oh, Rao..." Kara muttered as she landed, a good 20 men lying on the floor. "Girls, what have you done?"
She walked further in the warehouse, impressed despite herself of what the three girls had-were pulling off. She suddenly heard an explosion from the ground underneath her and widened her eyes as she began to hear cries of pain from multiple men. She pinpointed where the sounds came from and stomped on the ground, cracking the concrete. The fighting seemed to stop for a second before afraid yells came from to her hears. She lifted herself in the air and rammed in the same spot again, the ground giving in.
The state of the room she landed in could have given nightmares to weak-hearted persons. About 15 heavily armored and armed men were staring at her in pure horror and distraught, their hearts seemingly of the verge of giving up.
On the other side of the room stood the vigilantes she was looking for, though she had never seen them in such a state. Their suits were literally covered in blood, the arrows that should have been in their quivers making the fallen tugs that Kara could see on the floor through the door behind Artemis, Green Arrow, and Orphan look like a pack of porcupines. And those were the ones that didn't have blood pouring from their ears after Evelyn had used her canary cry on them or the effects of other specialty arrows the three girls had rained on their targets.
And if Kara didn't stop her daughter's rampage, those sorry excuses of men would be next "Girls! Stand down!"
"Supergirl, they have William!"
"I know! But killing your way through those men won't save him"
"Green Arrow asked us to watch over him!" said Evelyn, her eyes filled with a maelstrom of emotions
Supergirl sighed and superspeed around, knocking all the tugs out. "Then let's find him. But no killing!"
The three girls shared a look before recently nodded. Knowing she wouldn't get better than that, Kara turned around and kicked the door through which the kidnapper had probably escaped.
And he had carried William on his shoulder to a helicopter he planned to escape with. Only, as he was about to walk lower to avoid being hit by one of the helicopter's blades, he notices that no wind was being generated.
"And where do you think you're going" asked Kara with venom in her voice as she threw one of the blades she had torn away from the engine directly into it.
"You bitch! What do you want!"
At that, the man suddenly felt a great pain in the back of his left leg. He cried out as he let William fall on the ground, his hand finding a flechets buried deep in his skin. When he turned around to see it's the origin, he couldn't react fast enough to avoid the kick sent straight right to his face.
Kara watched as Evelyn took William away, letting Mia send the second kick in the man.
"What the fuck do you want?! This is none of your business!"
"Actually, it is. Very much so!" Astra corrected him as she walked toward the man "Unfortunately for you, you went after the wrong family!"
"Family? But both his parents are dead!"
"Didn't you know?" shouted Evelyn as she stood up from freeing her adoptive little brother "Family doesn't end in blood. But it doesn't start there either"
"This boy is our brother!" explained Mia
"And now, you're going to pay forever doing this to him."
"And what if I don't," asked the man, his eyes widening
"Well!" said Spartan as he walked up, he and Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, Black Canary, Black Siren, Ragman, Arsenal and Speedy surrounding them with pissed off expressions in their eyes "Let's just say I don't like your odds if you decided to fight it out."
The man looked straight up terrified as all the vigilantes took out their weapons, the three younger female archers having reloaded their bow as well. He suddenly seemed to think that running was a better idea, only to bump straight into a very pissed off Kryptonian mother.
"You're lucky I came to stop them. You would be dead by now if not for me"
"So what, I'm supposed to th-" he started before three knock-out arrows hit him in the back. He stumbled on the ground, William's sisters lowering their bows.
When Kara sent them a disapproving look, Evelyn and Mia only shrugged as Astra held out her arms in a 'What?' manner. "He was starting to get on my nerves"
Kara could only sigh as Spartan picked the man up, walking away with a fond smile on his face.
The same one Kara wore. Along with a pride look to the girls that protected their family as strongly than their father did.
