When Oliver appeared on the table, he slowly began to feel life drain out of him. And yet, he was... At peace.

At peace, not because he knew that his team would continue to protect the city he sacrificed so much for. Not because he knew that Barry would not die because of the deal this man that he saw as his little brother had done with the Monitor. Because of Kara.

'Oh Kara' he thought as he saw the blond Kryptonian arrive at his side, her eyes already on the verge of tears.

He didn't know how it was supposed to happen. How it would be possible for them to become a couple. How it would be possible for Astra to be born. How he would supposedly be able to raise her with Kara. But he knew that if the timeline played as his daughters from the future had told him, that he would be happy.

He knew that once Crisis was over, Kara would go and search for Felicity and Mia. And that even if the Kryptonian couldn't save her mother, Mia wouldn't be left alone. He knew that no matter what, Kara would be there to protect his children. Their children.

He faintly heard the sound of one of Cisco's breaches for a second, a little before he heard Sara's voice

"Oliver! I-"

"That's okay, Sara. This is my destiny"

"Oliver-" started Barry before he cut him short

"Barry... You are, my friend...the very best of us. I gave it all up, for you and Kara."

"W-what do you mean?"

"I need the two of you to-... To be the ones to save us now."

"Girls..." he said as loud as he could, feeling disappointed with how weak he already was.

"Dad..." Mia said weakly, taking his hand in her

"Don't forget to find your mother"

"Okay"

"Mia. Astra. Evelyn. My beautiful girls. Find her and William, and tell them how much I love them" he said, feeling tears fill his eyes "I love you girls. Keep me in your hearts okay?"

"Dad!" Astra started crying

"Astra, my little angel. Evelyn, my bravest girl. And Mia, my beautiful daughter. Be strong... together. Family is... The only... Permanent thing... In this world. Stay together."

"Dad," said Evelyn in a desperate whisper

"I... I love... You..." he said, finally letting the darkness take him, the last he heard being the cries of his children. The cries of his daughters. The cries... Of his girls.
