maddison gabrielle clifford

I sat waiting at a booth in the furthest corner of the small café I was instructed to meet Dean at. We'd finally agreed on a time and place that suited both of our schedules. Ashton had driven me here, seeing as he didn't have an issue with me going out with a boy. Thank god for Ashton.

I checked my phone again that was placed on the table in front of me. Dean was officially 23 minutes late. What if he's bailed out? What if he got in an accident on the way here? Numerous scenarios regarding his lateness flowed through my mind, only being interrupted by the jingle of the small brass bell on the front door of the café. I peered from behind the booth, relief rushing out of me in a sigh as Dean's familiar frame entered the building. I stood up and waved a hand in his direction, returning the smile he sent me, his stunningly white teeth amplifying the expression.

"Hey Maddison, sorry I'm late. Dad had me doing a few extra jobs before I could escape," he chuckled while sliding into the booth, sitting opposite me.

"Don't worry about it. And please call me Maddi, people only really call me Maddison when I'm in trouble," I smiled warmly at him while he laughed at my statement. Dean was painfully handsome, a chocolate coloured mop sat on top of his head, the messiness of it adding character to his face. His big brown eyes reminded me of those of a sweet labrador or a golden retriever. I was afraid if I ever got the chance to run my fingers down his jawline that they may cut open, due to it being define and sharp. Honestly, he made it easy to stare.

"Did you hear what I said Maddi?" His emphasis on my name aroused the blood from beneath my cheeks, he noticed as well, a sly grin adorning his features.
