11.Last Goodbye

Everybody knew it was not a good idea to leave Mew alone at his home as it would only bring him bad memories.Bright volunteered to take Mew with him to his home.Gulf wasn't happy with the decision but Saint ensured him that he can visit him anytime.
It's been a week since his dad died but Mew's condition was getting worse.He would spend the entire day without uttering a single word.His friends visited him often and tried to comfort him but nothing works.Bright was making sure  that he eats properly even if he didn't want to.He would joke around to make him laugh but nothing can really help him to wash away the pain.And the fact that Gulf didn't even texted or called him at the time like this made the pain even worse.
Like any other day after his dad's death,Mew was sitting beside the window when Bright entered his room with tray of Mew's favourite dish 'sushi' in hope that it would cheer him up but Mew was so lost in his thought that he didn't even looked at Bright.Bright walked towards him.
"Hey bud! Look what I got you. Your favourite....Sushi."
Mew still didn't looked at him.Bright took a deep sigh and put the tray down.
"You have to be strong in order to get through this time....Look at me."
Mew turned to look at him.
"Phi! It hurts me to look at you like and what hurts even more that you think you are alone in this.....No phi ! I am here with you every hour,every minute, every second.....I am your family from now on."Said Bright in a sincere tone.
A thin smile formed on Mew's face after hearing Bright's words
"Now let's eat."
Mew starts eating. Bright was watching Mew eating silently.He was content that his elder brother is eating properly.
"Phi! You should sleep early today. We have to go scatter ashes tomorrow."
Mew nodded.

Next day
Mew and his gang headed towards Chao prays river.It was an half an hour drive from Bright's house.Mew was sitting on the passenger seat,Max and off were on the back seat while Bright was driving the car.Mew was looking out of the window absentmindedly and holding the pot containing his dad's ashes tightly as if he still  not ready to let go.The thought that he is bidding his final goodbye to his dad clenches his heart.The pain was increasing as they were reaching near to their destination.
At the site,Bright rented the boat.Only two people can get on the boat so his gang let Bright ride the boat with Mew.
Mew was about to step on the boat with Bright but stopped by a voice.
"WAIT! WAIT FOR US !" Screamed Saint who was standing beside Gulf.
Mew turned around to see the owner of the voice.He saw the man he longed to see for days is now in front of him, the man that doesn't even bother to visit at his worst, the man that he loved the most abandoned him when he needed him the most.Even after knowing all this,his heart felt at ease seeing the site of the man he loves.He hated himself for not even being mad for what he did.
"Why are you here?Who told you to come here? Said Bright angerily.
Everybody was a bit startled by Bright's tone except Mew who was looking at Gulf expressionlessly.
"I called them.I thought Mew needed him." Said Max
If they weren't here for scattering Mew's dad ashes,Bright would beat the shit out of Max.It  frustated Bright and was about say something but Mew stopped him.
"It's okay,Bright.I do need to talk to him.....can me and Gulf can go alone."
This startled Bright As Mew has spoken after an entire week.Bright was longing to hear his brother's voice.He wasn't happy with letting Gulf go with Mew but he let it be.He faked a smile and nodded.
Both Gulf and Mew got on the boat.Mew was just looking at Gulf expressionlessly.Gulf was bewildered.He just don't know what is going inside his mind.He tried to approach his hand but was interrupted by the voice of man on the boat.
"We have reached the middle of the river.you can now scatter the ashes in the river."
Mew and Gulf stood up and walked towards the edge of the boat.Mew took a deep sigh and open the pot.Gulf put his hand on Mew's shoulder.Mew scattered the ashes in the river.
The ashes was flowing in the river and eventually get mixed with the sparkling water.It was one of the most peaceful site for both of them.
"Dad! Remember when I used to be always mad at you as a child because you were never there for my parents teacher meeting, my musical gigs,my matches because you were too busy but At night you would come to my room and look at my trophies and secretly cry.You think I don't know how you would secretly took cooking classes to make me bento when I have complained you why I don't have a mother who can  make me bento. I stil remember how you cried like a baby when I sang you a song on Father's Day hahahha.....I never felt the absence of mom....cause you are both my mom and my dad......I have never said these words to you and I'll regret it my entire life that I didn't tell you that you are the best father in this entire world.I know You are not going to believe it but that's truth Dad..... but I am sorry dad, I can't get you, your office back......I am sorry for being a bad son....sorry for telling you mean things....sorry for not expressing enough....But DAD! I LOVE YOU and I am gonna miss you so much." Said Mew while crying hard.
Gulf who was standing beside him was trying his best to held back his tears.He can't let himself loose like like this.He have to be strong for his love.He knew how it felt to be orphan and know how badly Mew needs him.He held his hand and rest his head on his shoulder and gently caressed Mew's arm with his hand.
Bright was getting anxious with each passing second.Their proximity can be proven to be a  big problem for him.He has to something in order to break them up.
Soon he saw their boat returned and they were holding hands.Bright was getting more frustrated but compose himself as he approaches Mew.
"I am going with Gulf today.You go back."
Bright frowned.seeing his reaction.
"I 'll be fine.Don't worry Nong. Phi will be back tomorrow."said Mew in gentle voice.
Bright frustration disappeared.It was the first time Mew called him nong.He was more than happy.He can handle Gulf some other day because right now he just want live this moment.So he let Mew go with Gulf and went back to his with his gang and saint.As they left, Mew take his hand off Gulf's hold.
"Why didn't you visited me?" Asked Mew.Frustration was clearly visible in his voice.
Gulf was shocked as he visited Mew every single day since his dad's death but Bright always told him that Mew doesn't want to meet anyone.He also texted Mew thousand times and all his messages were seen but not replied.He thought that Mew needed some time, that's why he is doing all this.He doesn't want to force him but when his patience reaches his limit Gulf approaches Max.
WHY?..WHY GULF?.....Do you know there was not even a single day I didn't thought about you....DO you know how much I needed you...How much I wish to be in your arms.....How much it hurts.?
Gulf was crying and stepped towards him trying to hug but Mew pushed him away.
"Are you doing this because you are trying to take revenge for bullying you at first....Guess what! it worked ....It worked Gulf.....you almost killed me.....sometimes I think,did you ever loved me?.....you know what ,I was so happy when you called my dad as dad.I felt my life is complete .....but you ....you Gulf...you broke me.... you broke me again. said Mew crying.
Gulf couldn't handle those words.Mew's were like knive that was stabbing him right in the heart.
Gulf took out his phone to show him the messages he sent and stepped towards Mew but Mew took a step back.That really broke Gulf's heart and he started to cry even harder.He was feeling helpless.He started to get panick.He was trying to talk but all he can hear was gibberish sounds. He was getting frustrated and tried harder, his veins was clearly visible on his neck.It doesn't matter how hard he try,he couldn't convey what he want to say. He was getting more frustrated.Mew never seen Gulf like this.Mew was getting worried as Gulf's entire face got red,his eyes swelled up and his veins on the neck bulging out as if it'sgoing to explode.It was breaking his heart to see Gulf like this.
He walked to him and hugged him.
Sssshhhhh....I am not mad at you  anymore.Don't try to talk ...please.....Baby stop trying ....please..I love you."said Mew gently caressing his back while hugging him.
Gulf stopped after hearing Mew's  words and hugged him back tightly.
Mew doesn't want to know why Gulf didn't visit him.It doesn't matter to him whether Gulf loves him or not ,he only knew one things Gulf's arms is his happy place and doesn't want anything more.

Soon they reached Gulf's home.Gulf's home was fairly big for a single person.He had a huge dining hall which has black and grey sofas,some indoor plants and a television. His house has 3 rooms with attached bathroom.His house and big open kitchen beside the bedroom.
"Baby,I am going to take a bath."
Gulf nodded and handed him a towel and some clothes.Mew went to take the bath while Gulf was in the kitchen to make something for Mew but couldn't focus on anything.Gulf was trying to figure out why Bright was doing all this.
The last week was  pure hell for Gulf.He can't sleep or eat as he was worried for his love.He wanted to see Mew,hug him, comfort him but stopped himself as he wanted to give Mew space but now that he thought about it,he hated himself for not being there for Mew and letting him suffer alone.Mew's dad words echoed in his ears.
"Expressing your love to someone through words is too overrated but making person felt loved is an understatement.
Gulf decided that it's his only chance to compensate for what he is not able to do for Mew.
He went to the bathroom and opened the door.Mew was lying in the bathtub fully naked with his hands lying limply on the either side of the tub.Mew was little startled to see Gulf being this bold.
Gulf didn't even noticed that Mew was fully naked and handed him a piece of paper.Mew took the paper and read.
"Let's move in together." Read the paper.
Mew chuckled after reading it.
"Take off your clothes and come here."
Gulf wasn't expected this but did as Mew said.He took off his clothes .
Mew stretched his arm to held Gulf's hand and guided him to lay between his legs and rest his head on his chest.
They both were laying in silence with their intertwined resting against Gulf's chest.Gulf was getting impatient as Mew still hasn't answered.He lifted his head and turned sideways to look at Mew in hope to get the answer.
Mew leaned and kissed Gulf's lips gently.
"If I get the job in campus interview.Let's move in."
Gulf smiled and kissed Mew passionately.
