Hours had passed since last night. Don was in the backseat. He brushed Mallory's hair gently, who was sleeping soundly. He turned his head to some sort of bright lights and covered his eyes.
"Is it morning already?" Rez asked as he yawned. "The sun is rising up already." Roxette opened up her phone and squinted at her device, "But It's 2am."
Don gazed at the odd lights, only to realize what it was. "Speed up!" He abruptly commanded.
"What?"
"Go faster!"
Rez jumped from his seat as a golden arrow pierced in between him and his cousin. "Ah!" Roxette yelped.
As the arrow disappeared gradually out of existence, the driver kicked the pedal and sped up. The lights teleported down the road, blinding them. The brightness faded, revealing a tall woman clad with white and gold suits in front of them. The car's engine for an unknown reason, stopped.
"Don. Long time no see," The female Archangel spoke. She has brown braided hair and fierce hazel eyes. She had a lion brooch pin on her blazer, a bow on her side, and a well kept appearance.
Mallory slowly opened his eyes and was greeted by the stranger staring right at him. He tried to figure her out as Don tightened his hold onto him.
"What do you want from us, Ariel?" The Don asked.
"Don't be agitated. We just need all of you, especially your wounded companion."
Don and Mallory looked at each other briefly. Don turned to the archangels and asked. "You won't do anything bad to him?"
Archangel Ariel gave a reassuring smile and shook her head. "That won't be necessary." A white and red truck appeared suddenly at their backs as she opened the back door for them. "Come inside."
Rez glimpsed at the others and shook his head. "What if we don't?"
Ariel pulled out her bow and aimed at Rez.
"It's not a request. It's an order."
-------
The group reluctantly sat inside the truck's cargo box. They sat on the floor and leaned against the cargo box's metal wall. Mallory laid down on Don's shoulders, looking at his phone. "No phone signal. I can't call anyone for help." He sighed.
Roxette crossed her arms as she aggressively shook her head in disapproval. "I don't think I trust her, Vasco." Roxette whispered, "Can't we all just fight her? It's four against one."
"She's an Archangel, Roxette. She's powerful, Combat-wise." Don explained. Rez raised his head up from his nap and muttered, "Well, this sucks. We can't even trust angels."
"I'm quite surprised how you two caught up on what is happening." Mallory softly stated. Roxette forced a cheery smile,
"We can tell what people are, ya know. But still...what do they need our buddy for?"
"They are trying to find the son of a demon and angel." Don answered "Mal happened to be one of the suspects."
"Who is the other one?" Rez asked.
Before Don could open his mouth, the cargo box's door opened.
"It's time to go." Ariel said.
They gently stepped down the box and were greeted by men in lab coats. The soldiers pointed their guns at them as soon as all of them were out. "Boys, we need them alive." The female Archangel reminded.
Another man in the same uniform walked towards her as the guards put down their rifles. "Archangel Ariel, good job. You found the escapees...and the treacherous nephilim."
As the man spoke of the word, "Nephilim", it came out as if it was a taboo term among them.
Don glared at the man. "With all due respect. I have a name, Gabriel."
"You have many names. I don't need to be bothered to remember them all." The male Archangel leaned his head to the blonde man. "Especially with traitors like you."
Gabriel stood up and plastered on a grin. "Get them on their cells." He ordered to th guards.
The guards took the cousins away from each other despite their protests. Don tried to stop the guards but was halted by Gabriel and Ariel. He was dragged out of the room as the blonde man repeatedly looked to his partner frustratingly.
Don yelled as he struggled from the archangel, "Don't you hurt him!"
"Don! Please don't go!" Mallory lamented.
"Mal!" Don yelled as he struggled. "I will find you!"
"Shut up, you two," Gabriel groaned in annoyance.
Mallory could only hopelessly stare as his friends got dragged away by the guards. Archange Ariel remained as she stood patiently. She escorted him to an empty cell room. Mallory was forced to stay in the empty solitary cell room.
"What will they do to me?" Mallory asked as he timorously glanced, observing the small room.
"Do not worry. The scientists will be telling you what to do." She smiled and closed the cell door shut. Mallory was left, anxious and alone.
-------
On the other cell room, Don was strapped head-to-toe on a chair. The room was illuminated with a circular fluorescent light on the ceiling.
A man in a lab coat appeared, holding a marker from a nearby cart. He rolled up Don's left sleeve and drew small lines below the tattoo on his wrist. He then grabbed a bone saw as Don helplessly watched.
