I sat in class for about 30 minutes before the bell rung. Finally, I would be going to lunch.

I didn't feel too hungry, though I only wanted to sit by my only friend here in Texas, Ryan.

I walked in the halls, making my way to the large lunchroom. Many high schoolers sat in groups, talking and laughing. I almost couldn't spot Ryan. I looked for a minute before finally spotting his clothes, so I walked closer. I noticed a group of friends around him, then I felt uncomfortable. I didn't know these people..

Ryan spotted my red hair and looked at me. "Brooklyn!" He hollered. "Come sit with us."
I sat in an empty spot, though it wasn't next to Ryan. It was next to two, cigarette smelling guys. Ugh. A girl sat next to Ryan, a pretty blond with amazing blue eyes. Prettier than mine..

I kept an eye on the blond as she talked. Her smile was so perfect that it carved into my mind. Ryan noticed me looking at her. "Oh, Brooklyn. This is my friend Sarah." Sarah looked to me, her smile faded as I smiled at her. Sarah's clothes seemed very showing. Her shorts seemed so short that her ass hung out. It was almost funny.

The bell for the next class rung. I got up, and Ryan caught up to me while I walked to my class. "Brooklyn?" "What?" "You mad?" "No?" Did I look mad? Maybe it was a face expression. Ryan stopped me. "I don't know, you seemed mad at lunch. Was it because you couldn't sit with me??" He asked. I felt a bit embarrassed.. "No? Why would I be mad about that?" Then Ryan shrugged. "I'll see you after school, then we can ride back home." I said, giving him a faint smile as I walked to class.

Many classes passed before the high school ended. 3:30PM on a Monday. I packed my bag, putting all my books in place before walking where the bikes were parked. I peered around the corner, seeing if Ryan were there. I spotted him but- with Sarah.

Sarah held on to his shoulders, kissing him on the lips as I watched innocently. "Bye Ryan, I'll see you tomorrow." Sarah smiled, walking off. I walked around to corner, coming to Ryan. I knew what I saw, but I didn't mention that I saw it. "Hey!- Let's just go home.." I rushed, getting on the bike after him.

Ryan rode me to the neighborhood, then back at my house. He stopped in front of the lawn. "Bye Brook." He said, using a nickname. I smiled, using a house key to get inside. I stayed in my room the rest of the day.
