Sophie's other classes were a blur, but since it was a Friday, there was no homework. After Telepathy, Sophie light-leaped to Havenfield. When she arrived, she was wrapped in a ginormous hug by Edaline.
"How was school?" asked Edaline, after letting go of Sophie.
"Great!" Sophie replied, for she decided against telling Edaline about what had happened to Ms. Hornette. "I'm actually just about to pack for a sleepover at Biana's house."
"Good for you!" said Edaline happily.
"You're going to do what?" asked Grady, who overheard part of their conversation.
"Relax, dad, I'm just going to a sleepover with my friends." Sophie said, sighing at his overprotectiveness.
"Oh," Grady said, his shoulders relaxing. "Well then, have a good time."
Sophie headed upstairs, grabbed a her backpack, stuffed it with clothes, her hygienic products, her pajamas, and finally, Ella.
She walked downstairs, where Edaline and Grady were waiting for them.
"Stay safe," said Edaline, giving her another big hug. Grady joined in on the hug, and he said, "We love you."
"Alright guys," Sophie said letting go of the hug. "I love you, too." Then she walked into the Leapmaster 500, and was sucked into a swirling vortex of light, where she would soon arrive in Everglen.
