"Are you really going to watch me undress?" Elle questions as she stands in my walk-in closet, grabbing one of my shirts.

"Of course" I tell her shamelessly. Leaning against the door, I'm kind of glad that she didn't leave behind any of her clothing. She crosses her arms in front of her chest, pressing her breasts further together. God. The woman is fucking naïve, if she really wants me to leave she shouldn't be doing that.

"It's not like I haven't seen you naked before" I point out.

"Doesn't matter, leave" She orders, probably the only woman apart from my mother who has dared to order me around. Not that I'm about to obey her.

"The quicker you change, the quicker you can eat"

And the quicker I can get to fucking you.

I mean I could take her right here, right now. But she'll need her energy for what I have in mind for her.

Elle mumbles something under her breath as she reaches for the zipper concealed under her right arm, tugging it down. Once it meets the end at her hip, she takes in the deepest breath of relief, going back to shoving the fabric down and stepping away from it. My eyes lift to the black lace band on her right thigh and the dagger that's tucked in it.

"By any chance, did you become an assassin during these past few months?" I question her, pushing off the doorframe and walking towards her. Avoiding my line of vision completely she quickly slips on my shirt. What she doesn't know is I've seen enough to get blood flowing to my nether parts.

"I keep it in case I'm in trouble" She replies still not meeting my gaze.

"A gun would be a better option"

She shakes her head, "I don't like guns, this is more for my peace of mind. Makes me feel safe" Her voice is almost a whisper, like she didn't want to be talking about it.

I tuck my fingers under her chin, making her look up. "You don't need it when you're with me" I tell her waiting until she nods in agreement. Kneeling down, I get rid of the silver heels she's wearing, followed by the black lace garter which holds the dagger.

Tucking the weapon away in a drawer along with my guns, I follow behind her in a beeline as she picks up her dress and goes to the bathroom. Setting the red fabric by the sink, she swiftly washes her face, getting rid of all the makeup.

Not something I'd expect out of someone who's been adamant on leaving if you ask me. However, I keep my opinion to myself because in my mind and I'd like to believe in her heart as well, we both know she's staying. I just have to get her to admit it.

"Show is over, let's eat" She announces. I grab her hand and lead us down to the dinning room, where Lara brings in our food. While Elle is busy making a short conversation with the maid, apologizing for keeping her up, I pour us a drink.

The frown on her face when she sees it tells me she's going to fight and I sigh, will there ever be a time when she just accepts something without giving zero resistance? Maybe not, but a man can hope.

"I can't be drinking, I need to get back to work when I'm home" She lifts her palm to a stop.

"Drink because you're not going home" It's a statement that I'm not willing to argue on. Whatever work she has to get done can wait until tomorrow. She opens her mouth once again and shuts it close immediately, her lips forming a thin line. I take that as her acceptance and place the glass of scotch in her hands. She stares at it for a minute, having some kind of an internal battle. In the end, she flicks it contents down her throat, moving on to the food in front of her.
