You distract me, but I'm distracted without you.
I don't know how to focus, baby teach me how to.

~~~Ashton nearly hit his forehead on a lamp when the shrill sound of his doorbell filled his tiny living room.
He rubbed his eyes and blinked a few times, his vision slowly clearing. He yawned and wiped his mouth with the sleeve of his sweater. (Well, Luke's sweater; he'd left it there in the morning.)
He sat up, his purple beanbag chair shifting beneath him and he stretched him arms out, a satisfying crack of his back causing him to sigh contently.
The oppressive sounding doorbell being rung a second time caused him to flinch and shoot out of his chair.
"It's open!!! Jesus Christ-"
The door swung open and Ashton's heart skipped a beat when Luke stepped in.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were sick of me," Ashton teased as he flung his arms around Luke's neck and buried his face in his neck.
Luke laughed, "I could never get sick of you, you dumbass."
They pulled apart and Ashton felt lightheaded at how Luke was looking at him like he was something special.
Ashton let out a breathy laugh.
"So what are you doing here?"
Luke reached forward and took both of Ashton's hands in his, "The two of us are going to go do something. I'm taking you on an adventure."
Ashton laughed again, but this time he let the laughter reach his eyes.
"Are you, now?"
Luke chuckled and let himself get lost in Ashton's eyes.
"Yes. What's on your bucket list?"
Ashton shrugged as he rubbed his thumb along the black material of Luke's cast, "I've always wanted tattoos."
"Isn't that what the henna was for?"
Ashton nodded, "Well, yeah, but now I want something permanent."
Luke smiled and Ashton's stomach twisted itself in to knots, "Then let's go get you something permanent."
"Lukey, I think you'd look ridiculously fucking hot with a collarbone tattoo."
Luke spun around and burst in to a fit of giggles when he saw Ashton pointing to a sketch of a particularly girly looking tattoo.
"I'm not getting "I'm a dreamer" in permanent ink on my skin."
Ashton managed to maintain a straight face as he jutted out his bottom lip.
"How 'bout," he flipped the page of the idea book that belonged to the shop and his eyes lit up as he scanned over the next page, "Here! Get "Wild Child"! You'll be dragging in the babes left, right, and center."
Luke laughed and shook his head, "No way. Nice try, though."
Ashton flipped through a few more pages and stopped on one, his eyes softening drastically and a small smile stretching across his face.
"I want this one." {picture @ beginning}
Luke leaned over his shoulder to look at the sketch and a soft gasp escaped his lips when he recognized what it was, "Wow. That's perfect."
Ashton nodded and smiled, glancing at Luke before continuing, "It looks like the one I did on you with henna."
Luke pulled up his sleeve and smiled when he saw the faint lines of the henna tattoo on his skin.
"Would you hate me if I asked them to tattoo over your henna lines so I could have it forever?"
Ashton's smile grew wider, "Of course not, as long as you'd be okay with matching tattoos."
Luke laughed and snaked his arms around Ashton's middle, pulling him back against his chest.
"I was hoping we'd come out of this shop with matching tattoos."
"Me too," Ashton turned his head and planted a soft kiss on Luke's cheek, "I'm disappointed that you're not getting that collarbone tattoo I showed you, though."
Luke shrugged and squeezed Ashton tighter.
"Maybe next time."
