Aleisha's POV

"Take me back to the old school yard, playing songs on our guitar...."

I stop and turn around. This voice is extremely familiar and if it weren't for the fact that I already know his songs, then I would've probably ignored my thoughts and walked away.

"We're taking the long way home..." I sing a long, holding my bag of picks from trolling on the floor when I dragged them. "Cause I don't want to be wasting my time alone. "

I smile and turn to every side in order to cross the street.

"I wanna get lost and drive forever-" If I could only drive.

....

"Mom!!" I call. Nothing sounds from the kitchen so I make my way towards the living room.

"Mom?"

I hear laughter and realize she's talking on the phone. Probably my aunt.

"Hey, mom." I greet and she nods her head. My mother is the politeness queen.

I smile and run up the stairs, barely reaching the top before the doorbell echoes throughout the house.

"Ali!!!! Answer the door!"

My arms slump down and I shout. "I have a brother for a reason!"

"Ali!" She warns and I throw the bag of picks on the staircase and go down the banister again. I stride slowly, wishing the doorbell would stop.

"Ali!-"

"Mom. I'm in front of the door!" I yell back and swibg the door open.

"What do you-" My mouth drops.
