"They're here," Chris said. "They want to meet for coffee and talk about what I need their help with."
"Well what the hell are you going to tell them?" Stiles demanded.
"I'm- I haven't really figured it out yet," he said uncertainly.
"Okay, seriously Argent? Enough of the vague horse shit! Tell us who these hunters are- and what we're in for- now that you've called them here!" He said angrily.
"Stiles," Scott said in a calm voice, his hand on Stiles shoulder. "Chris, he's right. You need to tell us more about these guys. And we need to know if we can trust them before they find out about the pack."
"Well, for starters- they're famous. Among hunters, demons, vampires, werewolves,- all supernatural creatures. Everyone knows their name. I can't believe that you two haven't heard of them," he said, gesturing to me and Peter. I wasn't surprised though. We didn't get out much. "They're professionals, and they know how to kill anything. Their dad was the best hunter of his time, completely ruthless. I was sad to hear he had passed."
"Ohh- ruthless. Awesome," Stiles said with heavy sarcasm. "Also- vampires?!" Chris ignored him.
"These Winchester's, they've saved the entire world from threats bigger than you could possibly imagine. Several times. And they've both died. Several times. They never stay dead, and they always find a way to save as many as they can. Everyone always speaks very highly of them," Chris finished.
"And how do they feel about supernaturals of varying types being the good guys?" Isaac asked wearily.
"To be honest? I don't know. That's the only thing I'm concerned about," Chris said. Liam was rolling his eyes and I knew Stiles wanted to do the same.
"Oh, well that's a really minor thing to be concerned about in this case. Seeing as every single one of us is a supernatural except for you and Mason. But no biggie. They might just want to kill us all instead of help us. We should only be a little worried," Stiles exploded, his arms flailing wildly around his face and his eyes glowing orange. "Argent- I swear to god, if a single one of my pups is hurt by these apparent hunter heroes-," I cut him off there, wrapping him in my arms and looking into his eyes calmly.
"Relax momma fox, no one is going to hurt anyone," I said gently, running my fingers through his hair and kissing his lips softly. He calmed down in my embrace and closed his eyes.
"At least we out number them," Liam said hopefully. Chris just shook his head at him.
"These guys pack a punch, numbers don't matter," he countered.
"Yeah, well- so do we," Malia said menacingly. She still scares me a little bit, but that I would never admit out loud.
"Chris, you're not making me feel any better about this," Scott said seriously. "Why did we call these guys again?"
"Because we need their help! The list is over twenty different people so far, and we haven't uncovered the rest yet!" He yelled, losing his trademark cool for a moment. "We can't protect everyone on our own. I just need to convince them that these people are worth protecting."
"You can't go alone," Scott said. "What if they decide to take you out because you're a rouge hunter who protects a pack?"
"I have to. It's not safe for the rest of you," Chris replied, convinced. While I still sometimes questioned the hunters motives, his daughter had worn off on him as much as we all knew she would. He still had the packs safety in mind.
