The Druid practically beamed at my mate after that statement. I agreed with every word Stiles had said. Deaton had saved all of our lives at least once, if not more. I was always grateful for his advice and help. I squeezed Stiles hand where it rested in mine, glad he had said it.

"Thank you Stiles," Deaton said quietly.

"Oh- another thing..." I began, touching Stiles reminding me of the thoughts that had been swirling around in my mind for days now. "Our pack now has two alphas."

"What?" Deaton demanded in confusion. "Who?"

"Stiles," Scott answered with a proud smile. Stiles grinned back then flashed his new crimson orange alpha eyes at the Druid. Deaton's eyebrows went up in surprise again.

"Scott McCall... your pack is the strangest I've ever seen or heard of in my entire existence," Deaton murmured, shaking his head in wonder.

"I know!" Scott said proudly, his chest puffing up a little.

"Wouldn't have it any other way," Stiles added.

"Strange is an understatement," I agreed. "It won't be a problem though right?" I asked him, glancing worriedly at Stiles. It had been on my mind since the first time I heard the alpha command in Stiles' voice.

"I don't think so... obviously we can't know for sure. But if it was going to be an issue, I imagine it would have happened as soon as Stiles turned into an alpha. I still can't believe it. The likelihood of two true alpha's in one pack... the odds against it are astronomical." Deaton said in wonder.

"Well I don't feel the urge to fight for the title. How about you Scotty boy?" Stiles asked his best friend with a smirk.

"Nope, nothing," Scott answered.

"I would imagine because Stiles is the 'mom of the pack' and has accepted that role, and still answers to Scott, it's a fairly normal pack dynamic. The alpha's mate can a lot of the time become an alpha themselves, but the original alpha is still in command. As long as that status isn't challenged, everything should be fine," Deaton mused thoughtfully. I nodded once. Good.

"Well, that won't be a problem. No way do I want to be in charge," Stiles snorted.

"Oh please, you're in charge half the time anyway Stiles!" Scott scoffed.

"He's right Stiles. We all know you'd make a great leader- you do make a great leader," I agreed. I had seen it so many times, everyone had. If Scott wasn't around, and sometimes even if he was, Stiles was in charge.

"Not the point," he conceded. "Are we done here? We didn't stop for coffee and you promised us our favourite!" Stiles said accusingly, looking to Scott.

"I promised nothing!" Scott argued. Stiles looked like he was about to start another snark-fest, so I interrupted quickly.

"Lets go boys," I said, towing them both out by their arms.

"Thanks Deaton," we all called over our shoulders.

"Anytime," he chuckled.

I threw the two delinquents into the car and started the engine, heading for our cafe. I grabbed Stiles hand and held it firmly in my own, giving a happy sigh at the contact. It provided a little relief from the staggering need to touch him. All over. All the time.

"I can't wait to try shifting again," Stiles said excitedly, his mind likely racing with all of the new information. "It didn't hurt, it just felt really weird- which I wasn't expecting. Definitely thought it would hurt- I mean- your bones literally change! But it was so cool... and the fact that we could still communicate! Even cooler. Going for runs on the full moon is going to be so much more fun now... I bet we can outrun them all-," I cut Stiles rambling off with a kiss at the stop light. I pulled away and smiled at him fondly.
