Another Trickster

Amber's POV:

I stood beside winter as Strucker came towards us. "Raven, you have done well. This is a solo mission for you." Great. I hate solo missions. "You are to get caught by the avengers and to gain intel on their plans. Winter will check in on you every so often." I looked at winter and saw him focused. His eyes gave away that he was lost in his mind. "When do I start?" I asked as I faced Strucker. "Now." That's all I need to know. I went towards the exit and began thinking. Loki knows how to get into my mind which means I have to put up a block.

I hate blocking him from my mind but it has to be done. I walked out into the open and looked at my surroundings. If I want to gain the avengers attention, I'm going to have to cause trouble. I let my magic wrap around my arms and sent it to the sky. It started raining but I was protected. "Amber, what are you doing?" Loki said from beside me. I smiled and turned to face him. "What's it look like Loki? I'm causing it to rain." He did not seem impressed. "I do not want to see you in chains." I rolled my eyes. Loki always had a soft spot for me.

"I know Loki, but sometimes things happen out of your control." I put my hands up and smiled. "Yield." I saw the disbelief on Loki's face as I surrendered. "How did she know we were here?" I heard a woman say. "I know things. Like the way you walk or in this case, your body carries an aura that I'm able to sense." All this time, I keep my focus on Loki. He has never seen me give up so easily. "Hold on." He said before I was cuffed. Shit. "She never gives up easily." Damn you Loki for knowing me well. I felt the cuffs on my wrists. "Doesn't matter. Fury wants her for questioning."

Great. I felt a force trying to break my wall in my mind and smiled. He's trying to get into my mind. I forced him out and looked at him with a smirk. He knows that something is up now. He knows that I never block him from my mind. "Thor, she blocked me out of her mind." I heard him tell Thor. Both the oafs looked at me. Fuck. Thor knows I don't block my mind from Loki. "Save it reindeer games and point break. Fury wants her and he will get her." I thank Odin that I don't have to be questioned by Thor and Loki.

Thor's POV:

I watched as Amber was led to a Jeep and turned to my brother. "Something is wrong. She never blocks you out." I said and he nodded. "I know which means she's hiding something." We followed the others and got in a different vehicle. I'm going to have to keep an eye on Amber.

Amber's POV:

I was brought into a room and smiled. This is going to be easy. The door shut and I sighed. If this goes bad all I have to do is so what Strucker told me to do.

Flashback

"If things go bad, tap this watch three times." He passed me a watch and I put it on. "After you do that, in about ten seconds someone will be there to grab you. But, when you return, there will be consequences so do not use this tactic unless you can handle them."

End of flashback

I looked at my wrist that held the watch. Usually assets would have a cyanide pill hidden in their mouth. My case isn't like that. Cyanide would do nothing to me so they gave me this device. I went towards the chair and sat down. All I have to do is wait for this Fury guy to show up. As I thought this, the door opens. "Miss Raven, I am director Fury." I know exactly who he is. HYDRA had the winter soldier go and kill him. It seems he missed. "I know who you are. Aren't you supposed to be dead?" He looked at the window where I know everyone else is.

"She has changed into another threat." I rolled my eyes. "I am not a threat. Well, not if your dead." I smiled and looked at Fury. "Send him in." I looked at the door as it opened and revealed Loki. Great. Now I have to deal with him. He came towards me and gave Fury a nod. With that nod, Fury left the room. Now I'm alone with Loki. "Amber, what the hell are you doing?" I stood up and looked at him. "I'm doing what I do best. Odin knew what I was to become so he sent me down to Midgard." I sat back down. "No, that's not why you're doing this. HYDRA has you working for them so they don't get killed."

I tap on my watch three times and look at Loki. I smile at him as the building rumbles. "What are you doing?" I don't want to hurt him. "I'm sorry Loki. For everything from here on out. My ride is here." The wall opened up and I was grabbed and tossed out the hole. Yes. Tossed. The fucking agent tossed me out the fucking hole. I let my powers ease me back to the ground only for me to be forced into a van. Strucker must be pissed at me. Pissed that I can't get intel within a few hours.

I was forced out of the van and was met by a completely livid Strucker. "Raven. Please tell me you have some intel. I've already lost one asset." He lost winter. Figures. He was never good at keeping us under his control. "Unfortunately, I don't have any intel but Nick Fury is alive." He shook his head. "You disappoint me Raven. I expected more of you." He looked to the agents behind him and they came towards me. They grabbed my arms and I felt something prick my neck. "You failed the mission so you will face the consequences."

My vision was growing dark. I really hope I did the right thing.

A/n: originally the mission was to eliminate Steve but I found that going for intel was a better option for what I have planned. Loki was never supposed to be brought in until later on. Originally it was supposed to be Natasha. Loki knew what Amber was doing because she let her wall down unknowingly.
