Amber's POV:

They left the room and told me to get some sleep. Why would I sleep with them in the same building as me? Yes I slept with HYDRA but that was because I had no other choice. It was either I sleep or endure torture. Here, I'm not sure what will happen. The way that they were looking at me set me on edge. Never before have I been looked at with so much pity. My eyes began to close and I mentally scolded myself for not sleeping for three days. I drifted into unconsciousness and was welcomed by my time in HYDRA.

A whip was heard and I was preparing myself for the pain. My hands tied above my head, a collar that removes my powers on my neck, another belt in my mouth to muffle my screams. "Now Flame, are you gonna cooperate?" That sick voice. He knew my answer from the beginning and I glared at him. He only smiled and went behind me. I felt the pain first before the sound of the whip registered in my mind. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to not make any sound.

After the tenth slash against my back, I finally screamed in pain. Strucker came in the room and looked at me with pity. "It's such a shame that we had to do this. You have such potential." He looked behind me. "That's enough for today." The belt was removed from my mouth and the door shut. I was left alone with my wounds on my back. I need to leave.

I awoke and heard people yelling. I sat up and looked around the room. I'm not with HYDRA. They aren't going to hurt me here. "Amber, you okay?" I heard Loki ask. I looked at him and gave him a look that said 'do I look okay' to which he nodded. He got the look and turned to the others. I could still feel the whip coming down on my back. I could feel the warm liquid known as my blood drip down my back. I shuddered and let my hand feel the scars that were left on my lower back. I felt a hand on my shoulder and flinched.

"It's just me princess." I heard Loki whisper. I looked up at him.

Loki's POV:

She flinched when I put my hand on her shoulder and I felt angry at the people who did this to her. "It's just me princess." I whispered to her. She didn't relax but she looked at me. Her gaze held many emotions; fear being the main one. "Can you stand?" I asked her to which she nodded. I could feel the others eyes on me but paid no attention to them. Amber stood but leaned on me. I placed my arm around her waist and she tensed again. Her breathing picked up before quickly going back to normal.

Her arm went around my neck. "I don't trust them." She whispered to me. I still don't trust them and they don't trust me. We walked, well I walked while she limped. I don't know why she's limping though. "They shot my leg before they got attacked." I forgot she could do that. We made it to the door of the cell and walked out. Natasha had her hand on her gun. I could tell that she was being cautious. I looked at Bruce who was looking at Amber with concern.

"We need to get your leg looked at." I watched her face contort into a look of fear. "No tests Loki. They are not doing any tests on me." She was freaking out. She was never good at controlling her powers. "Calm down Amber. They aren't going to do any tests on you."

Amber's POV:

I knew he was lying. I turned my gaze to the ground as he brought me to a table. I looked up and looked around the room. It's nothing like HYDRA but then again, looks can be deceiving. My eyes met the people in the room. My mind keeps telling me to fight them but my heart says to trust them. I turn my gaze back to Loki and see him watching me like a hawk. "Are you able to sit on the table so Bruce and make sure you are well?" I sighed but lifted myself on the metal table. "Be careful Bruce. If she's anything like Bucky then she'll be very violent at any reminder of HYDRA." Bucky? The name seems familiar.

A man came back to my cell and was tossed in. He's new. I've never seen him here before. I tilted my head at him as he sat up. "Hello." I said which made him jump. Stupid. The new ones are always jumpy. He turned his head to me and looked at me. "What's your name?" He asked me which shocked me. No one has ever asked for my name. They always call me subject #76008. "Amber." I watched him with curiosity. "James but my friends call me Bucky."

I came back and saw Loki looking at me with concern. Before he could speak, a door opened and a familiar voice spoke. "Steve, I remember a girl back in HYDRA." People moved and I looked at him. He was looking at me with shock. "Amy?"

"Listen to me Amy. I will get you out of here." Bucky said. I shook my head. "No. I'll be fine. You need to get out of here and find your friend Steve." I told him and his face fell. "I'm not going to leave you here Amy." I looked to the ground then back up at him. "You have no choice Buck."

A/n: yes I'm throwing Bucky into the mix. A lot of flashbacks in this but things are going to be changing in the next few chapters
