Another Trickster

Amber's POV:

They say that we forget things that aren't important. Me being with HYDRA is something that I deem unimportant but yet it is still there. Whether it be in nightmares or just plain memories. It's something that I have to live with now until I die. Whether that be by my hand or someone else's. I guess I was lost in thought because I was shaking. I looked and saw Loki shaking me. "Amber." He seemed worried. "What?" I asked. He sighed and brought me into a hug. Normally physical contact makes me uncomfortable but for some reason, when he hugs me it makes me feel safe.

"You didn't respond to anyone so we grew worried that you were stuck in a memory." I nodded as he pulled away. Someone cleared their throat which made me turn my gaze to them. "You done reindeer games? We have other things to do." A man said with his arms crossed. "Um, who is everyone and why do you call Loki reindeer games?" I asked and heard Loki groan. "I thought HYDRA told you everyone's name?" Natasha said. I scratched the back of my neck. "They didn't deem it important for me to know the names. They just told me the superhero names." No one spoke for awhile.

"Well then, you already know Thor, Loki, and Nat. My names Clint." The man known as Clint told me. After that everyone told me their name. No one answered my last question though. "Why does Tony call Loki reindeer games?" I heard Loki groan and watched a gin spread on Tony's face. "Well you see..." he went off and began telling me things that I knew already. Basically, Loki's battle helmet makes him look like a reindeer. "About the battle of New York. I was there when it happened." I rubbed my neck. "What do you mean you were there?" Tony asked and I sighed.

"I was there when Loki got captured by you guys." I looked to the side and saw Wanda. My throat became dry and the voices that were speaking faded out. She has caused me so much pain.

Wanda's POV:

She looked at me and I could tell that she was trying hard to not freak out. It's going to take awhile for her to trust me. "I need to go." She said and got up and walked out of the room. I sighed and looked at the others who I could tell were confused. "She still fears me because of what I did to her." I felt a force knocking in my head and let it enter just to hear Amber. "Stay away from me. I don't want you in my head." After that the force disappeared. I want to reach out to her but I don't want her to hate me even more.

"Wanda?" I heard Steve ask. "I don't know where she is. She came into my mind just to tell me to stay away from her."

Amber's POV:

I ran away from the avengers tower. I can't be there with people who used to torture me. I know that Loki will try to find me but I want to be alone for right now. It's just like my training. "Never let your enemy find you. Always change your appearance when on the run." I know that I have the ability to change my look but I also know that after a long period of time, I start to become weak. "Hello there Flame." I heard and stopped in place. They found me again. I turned and faced my old handler. He did not seem impressed.

In all honesty he seemed bored. "Since I lost you again I lost my job." The guy lost his job. "So now that I got kicked out I've been on the hunt for you. I want to bring the old Flame back." I'm confused. Who's the old Flame? I guess I had a confused expression on my face because he walked closer to me and continued talking. "Raven was the old Flame. That was when you were obedient and never saw the people you once knew." I forgot that I was obedient without having my memory toyed with.

"I don't care who the old Flame was. I just want to be Amber for once in my life. I don't want to be controlled." At my response he smiled and came even closer. "You see Amber, I don't need your permission or your obedience." I clenched my fist and opened my mind up to send a message to Loki. Help. I thought then closed my mind off. I focused on the threat in front of me. "Power." He spoke and my blood ran cold. My trigger words. I guess I had the look of pure horror on my face cause he smirked.

"Stone." I looked around for something that I can use to distract him but turned up empty handed. "Leave her alone!" I heard someone yell and turned to face them. It was the avengers. "Magic." I dropped to my knees with my hands on my ears. They won't make it in time. "Kill." Four words left before I'm under this dude's command again. "Exile." I looked at the Avengers and saw Loki ahead. His eyes met mine and I saw the raw emotion in his eyes. "Flame." I feel a pounding in my head. Flame is trying to take over. I need to stay in control. I can't let her take over again.

"Raven." One word left. I heard a blast and looked just to see the guy on the ground. I smiled knowing that he can't finish the words. "Reborn." I heard in front of me and saw a phone with the voice memo app on. The last thought that was mine was spoken by the others.

"Oh shit."
