It was late in the evening when Jack finally on his rooftop. I had been sitting watching the sunset waiting for him to get back. I fiddled nervously with the pearls around my neck. My pale pink dress swayed slightly in the breeze.
"Sorry it took so long." Jack apologized climbing up the ladder. "The boys dragged me to Jacobis."
"It's okay." I reassured him.
"Also I got you this." Jack said sheepishly pulling out a necklace from his pocket. "I know you don't like to wear your pearls. So I got you this to wear instead." I smiled lifting my hair up so Jack could put the necklace on. His fingers fumbled at the sliver clasp and I giggled at his struggle. Finally he got it. I looked down at my chest. Hanging off my neck was the sliver necklace Jack bought me, a small heart locket dangling from the chain. I felt the cool metal of the locket in my fingers.
"Jack I-" he placed his fingers to my lips.
"Ssh."
"But-"
"But nothing." Jack responded.
"Here." I sighed taking off my pearls. I handed them to him. He put his hands up.
"No."
"Yes." I insisted outstretching my hand. He shook his head. "Jack, you said so yourself, I don't like wearing them, so why keep them."
"Those are expensive." He told me.
"Yeah, and I want you to sell them."
"I couldn't" he insisted.
"You can you will." Jack rolled his eyes before reluctantly taking the pearls in his hands. "Even if you don't want to sell them, I'm sure Race will." Jack laughed.
"Yeah I'm sure he would." We both laughed. I rested my head on his shoulder.
"I'm glad you didn't go to Santa Fe." I muttered. Jack looked down at me and smiled.
"Me too." He said placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. I sat up and kissed Jack. He immediately melted and pulled me closer to him. My body pressed against the wall of Jacks Penthouse, Jacks hands pressed on either side of me. My hands cupping his face. Jack placed tiny kisses down my jaw and onto my neck. A soft moan escaped my lips. Jack smirked, his hands tracing circles on my hips. I shuddered under his touch.
"Hey Jack." I said as Jacks lips connected to my neck. He hummed in response. "Remember when you said and I quote 'I'd rather tell you what I'm hoping for tonight?" He pulled away and looked me in the eyes.
"What about it?" He asked raising a brow.
"Well tonight's your night." He smirked before unbuttoning his shirt. I pulled off his button up the rest of the way. His striped tank top showed his toned biceps. A blush covered my cheeks as his fingers fumbled with the strings of my corset. Jack placed a kiss on my earlobe.
"You ready." He whispered. My whole body shuddered and I nodded. The moonlight shown down on the city of New York City and it was perfect. Everything was prefect and I intended to keep it that way.
