"2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Lunar New Year Special" To Air Over 2 Days This Year.

This year, MBC's "2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships" will broadcast as a Lunar New Year special on January 30 and 31 with Lee Soo Geun as the main MC for the event.
The highly-anticipated special will air in two parts on January 30 and January 31 for a total of 310 minutes. MBC explained that it had made the decision to extend the length of the broadcast in order to more fully convey the passion and energy of the participating idols, without the time restrictions imposed by a one-day broadcast.
As, the "2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Lunar New Year Special" will feature four main events: Track and Field, Archery, Aerobics, and Rythymn Gymnastics.
More than 100 idols from 37 different groups will be participating in this year's special, including AOA, ASTRO, B1A4, B.A.P, Berry Good, Brave Girls, BTS, Cosmic Girls (WJSN), EXID, EXO, FIESTAR, GFriend, gugudan, Heyne, IMFACT, Jeon MinKyung, KNK, LaBoum, Lovelyz, MADTOWN, Melody Day, MIXX, MONSTA X, NCT, NU'EST, Oh My Girl, Red Velvet, Rui, SEVENTEEN, SF9, SNUPER, Sonamoo, TEENTOP, TWICE, and more.
The "2017 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Lunar New Year Special" will air on January 30 at 5:50 p.m. KST, January 31 at 10:40 a.m. KST. The full special will also be available with English subtitles on Viki.
