Two weeks have gone by since I've seen Paul but he hasn't left my mind yet.
Ringo and Maureen have stopped by frequently and John practically lives here.
I don't mind him around, he's always making us laugh and he makes Cyn happy.

I'm having breakfast, toast, and coffee.
Something light so I can go shopping today.
As I'm on my way out the telephone rings, I retract my steps to answer it.

"Hello"

"Ello love, George Harrison here. Is this Evie speaking?".

"Hello George, this is me speaking. Is everything alright?"

"I've noticed I haven't seen you much around lately or anything since the night of the get-together and I know I acted like a real jerk that night but I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a
date with me?... A real date."

My heart drops at the thought of going on a date with George, my mind goes directly to Paul.
For some reason, I found myself having a devotion to Paul even though he was going to bed with Jane every night and could probably care less about me.
With these thoughts, I couldn't help but feel feelings of resentment and jealousy.
I wasn't going to stay loyal to the idea of a man that wasn't even mine.
We shared a couple of kisses that didn't mean anything, that's all . . . just a few stupid kisses.
I get carried away in my thoughts when the voice on the other end brings me back to reality

"So, is that a yes?"

"Yes George, I'd love to."

"I'll pick you up Friday night around 8?"

"Sure, I look forward to it, thank you for asking. Friday it is!"

I say before hanging up.
Friday is in two more days and I can't lie that I am a bit excited about our date.
George is really a nice guy and is quite good looking.
Any unpleasant feelings I had towards Paul vanishes as I start to focus more on George and I fall into a daydream about how the night will go

Tonight is my date and I am truly looking forward to it.
I put my hair in curlers before I bathe so the steam in the room will make my curls more bouncy and stay longer.
I finish my bath I put on light make up and wear a very pretty pink dress, it doesn't hug tightly on me but it fits my body beautifully.
When I'm finally ready I take a double look at myself and smile in validation of how pretty I know I look tonight.
It's almost 8 o'clock and George should be here any minute.
I do some last-minute touch-ups when I hear the buzzer on our door go off indicating he has arrived.
I play it cool as I open the door but he takes me by surprise with how sharp he is dressed.

"You clean up nicely"

I say in delight as I look up and down at his neatly pressed outfit.

"Oh, do I? You always look beautiful Evie.
Shall we head out?"

We get into his car and we drive for about 20 minutes until we arrive at a nice little spot to eat.
Like a gentleman, he opens my door as well as opens the door entering the restaurant.
It's a cozy little place and not many people are in it, but it has a charm to it.
It's perfect for a first date.
We look at the menu and decide what to eat.
After a wonderful dinner and a bunch of humorous and engaging conversation, we sip on dessert wine and talk a little bit more
