December 20th, 1963

Three days...
Three long miserable days.
Not one call from Paul.
I heard from Cynthia that he and the boys have practically been living in the studio.
Their manager Brian is very kind to them but is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to making music.
I'm sure their new album will be terrific, Cyn told me the title will be "Meet The Beatles!", they're predicting this one will get them another American tour.
I'm delighted by that idea but I feel a bit of gloom come into my heart as well.
But back to here and now, I should set my pride aside and see Paul, that's what I really do want anyway.
I grab my coat and decide to surprise him at the studio and take him to lunch.
When I get into my car I attempt to start it.
After the 5th try, I accept there's something wrong so I get out and pop the hood open to take a glance.

"Having trouble?"

"Oh, hello Neal, yeah my car isn't starting."

"Let me take a look?"

"Oh, would you? It would be a great help"

Neal.
What a cool name, it fits his appearance.
He bears a striking resemblance to Alan Delon, he's relatively handsome.

I notice his blue eyes.
They're stunning but not as gorgeous as Paul's hazel eyes.
But he does catch my attention, he seems to be outside whenever I am.

"Evie, why don't you try to start it now"

I sit in my car and turn the key.
Just like that, it starts.

"Gee Alan you're a lifesaver! Thank you"

"Alan?"

"Neal, I mean Neal! Thank you"

"You can make it up to me by having dinner with me sometime."

"Well, I have a boyfriend."

"And I have a girlfriend, how about a double date? We are neighbors, we should get to know who we're leaving right next door to"

"You're right, That sounds wonderful Neal, how does tomorrow night sound?"

"Sounds great. There's a restaurant called 'Trianon' right near the shore. How about there around 8:30 or so?"

"Fantastic. I'll see you then. Thank you again."

I wave goodbye and I head off to the studio.
Abbey Road studio, this must be the right place, Paul has mentioned it a couple of times.
I walk in and sure enough, I see five familiar faces.
