Recap due to long hiatus:

Tyler and Troye are now in Perth, after a very long flight home. They were woken only 4 hours later when Troye’s family burst into the room to greet them. He meets the family briefly before they go to sleep again – in the same bed as the spare room has yet to be made up. They fell asleep on opposite sides of the bed, and now we shall see what happens when Tyler finally wakes up many hours later… Enjoy!

Tyler’s POV

My first though the next morning was how incredibly comfortable I was. Warmth surrounded me from every angle, filling me with a sense of peace. I smiled, snuggling further into the pillows before I froze. Wait. Pillows aren’t supposed to have a heart beat. Pillows aren’t supposed to move on their own accord.

Oh god. I thought as I realized what had happened. Ok, ok. You got this Tyler, do not freak out. Just… back out of this carefully and maybe he won’t wake up and question why you’re clutching onto him like a Koala.

I raised my head to ensure he was still asleep before attempting to detach myself from his beautiful body. Not the time and place to be thinking like that Tyler! Get out, and get out NOW!

I’d almost freed myself when I felt him move. He squirmed a little, frowning in his sleep. He rolled his body towards me before muttering the worst sentence possible.

“Tilly? Tilly don’t go! Don’t leave me, please. Tilly…” He continued to squirm, the muttering under his breath increasing to a whine as he struggled with his sub conscience mind. I cautiously lowered my hand, smirking to myself when I felt him still immediately under my touch. I lifted it experimentally, only to be greeted with another frown. Hmm, interesting.

I was going to lay down again when my bladder made itself known. I groaned. Of course something was going to get in the way of the only opportunity I would ever have to snuggle with Troye and not get called out for it. I lightly stroked my hand along his arm while I debated my options, my bladder protesting at the prolonged and unnecessary discomfort. I could stay in bed and hope I don’t either destroy my bladder or wet myself, wake Troye up – never a very wise decision, or try to slip out of his hold yet again… even if it meant leaving him to fight his nightmares on his own.

I bit my lip as I debated my options for a few more minutes before coming to a decision. I sat up slightly, bringing my hand up to grip the pillow under my head. As gently as possible, I started easing out from his grasp; legs first, my body angling into him slightly before I pushed my torso out. I quickly bought the pillow between our bodies, clutching onto him in reassurance that I was still there when I heard him grumble slightly.

I held my breath, waiting a few minutes before deeming it safe to move on to the next step. I slowly loosened my grip on him, bringing my hands up to his arms. I trailed my fingers up and down his arms lazily before grasping them gently, peeling them off my body and backing away quickly to place them around the pillow instead. He moaned, forehead scrunching up in what could only be confusion at the feel of the soft pillow instead of my body. I reached over to brush a stray strand of his hair from his face, almost jumping when he sighed, arms tightening around the pillow before drifting back into a deep sleep.

I smiled down at him briefly before turning and making my way towards his door, tiptoeing as quietly as I could so as not to wake up the sleeping angel behind me. I slipped into the hallway, closing his door gently before making my way down the hallway, desperately trying to remember the way to the upstairs bathroom.
