The police car and ambulance arrived just as Doro; the school guard interrogates me inside the abandoned building. At the same time, students were ordered to go back to their classroom. Christian's body is still there, lying down the cold ground facing the dark cloudscape. The unfair and cruelty that no one, not even me, could point out who's behind.
"Wala ka talagang ideya kung sino ang nasa kabila ng pulang d'yaket na iyon?" Binaling ko muli ang tingin kay Doro. He's already staring at me before I could turn my attention back to him. "O baka naman napaghahalo mo lang ang nakita mo sa kung ano talaga ang nangyari? Baka si Christian iyon. Did you see him jump?"
He's interrogating me like a real detective. Hindi lang niya itinanong kung ano ang nakita ko, pati na rin kung ano pa ang mga napansin ko sa paligid. From small detail to bigger ones and it's driving me crazy. My mind's stuck on Christian's face, body, and wounds that I couldn't meet the exact answers to his inquiries.
Ngunit sa tanong niya ngayon, hindi ko mapigilan na maging bihasa. Napalunok ako at hindi nakatugon agad. Ramdam ko ang panunuyot ng aking labi at panginginig pa rin ng aking mga kamay. I'm trying to drown the panic within me but it's too much. I'm all shaken up and that's what my body is reacting whenever another question is thrown at me.
If I were to tell the truth, I have someone in mind.
