"Nandito na pala kayo." Reed appears behind us. His contagious smile, always accompanied by a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, brightens the mood. Kaya kahit 'di ko ramdam ang ngumiti, napangiti pa rin ako. "Kumusta kayo?" he asked, nakatitig sa mga mata ko. He then glance at Ashi then, looked at me again. Tila ba ay may ipinahihiwatig.
Hindi tumugon si Ashi at nanatiling nakatanaw sa school dean at aming guro kung kaya ako na ang tumugon.
I sighed quietly. "Ayos naman," usal ko ngunit palihim na nagkibit-balikat at tinignan si Ashi nang panandalian. Mukha namang nakuha ni Reed ang sinasabi ko.
We just met yesterday but I can say I am impressed of his character. He is quick-witted and has effortlessly humorous. His mischievous nature is evident in his clever pranks and lighthearted banter, leaving a trail of laughter in his wake.
I enjoyed our conversation yesterday, not until the incident happened and since then our genuine smiles have never seen.
He, like everyone else, was terrified by what had occurred. Sino ba ang hindi? When I asked him about Ashi yesterday, he only gave me a worried look. He probably witnessed what happened to Christian and couldn't say anything.
