"What's that? What's happened?" Harry asked, startled to see the white, terrified, faces of Ron, Hermione and Draco.

"The Dark Mark, Harry! It's You-Know-Who's sign!" Hermione moaned.

"It means someone has been killed." Ron shuddered.

"We should move!" Harry declared.

"No!" Draco said firmly, "no! We should stay here. We need to stay hidden."

"Malfoy's right," Hermione said, "we should stay here."

There was a great, popping noise and the clearing was immediately filled with twenty wizards.

"Shh," Draco warned.

Harry lost his balance crouching and fell back into the  bush.

"Freeze!" A deep voice came from the clearing.

"Reveal yourselves!" Another man called.

Harry, Ron, Draco and Hermione all stood up from behind the bush.

Twenty wands were pointing straight at them.

"That's my son!" A familiar voice called, "lower your wands! That's my son!"

Mr. Weasley came running forward, "are you lot alright? Harry? Ron? Hermione? Draco? Where's Remus and the others?"

"We got separated," Hermione gasped, looking over Mr. Weasley's shoulder.

"Out of my way, Arthur," a curt voice demanded.

Barty Crouch pushed his way to the four teenagers.

"Which one of you did it?" His voice shook with rage.

"Come again?" Harry stared at him.

"Which one of you did it?" Crouch repeated, "which of you conjured the Dark Mark?"

"We didn't do that!" Harry gestured to the sky.

"We haven't do anything!" Ron cried.

"We were hiding," Draco said, "we heard someone, they murmured an unfamiliar spell."

"Don't lie!" Crouch pointed at them, his eyes bulged out of his skull and he looked mad.

"Barty, please, they're teenagers!" Arthur defended, "see reason! They're not capable of dark magic like that!"

"He's right," a woman stepped forward, "there's no way any of them could've done that."

"Where did you hear the incantation?" Mr. Weasley asked.

"Over there," Ron pointed.

"We'll search the woods!" Another man stepped forward, "Arthur, get the children to safety."

"I've lost my wand," Harry whispered.

"We'll find it," Mr. Weasley reassured him, "come on you four, we have to go."

"Arthur," a voice called through the woods, "Arthur! Is that you?"

"Remus?" Mr. Weasley squinted.

"Yes! Do you have them? We got separated!" Remus came more into focus.

"Yes, they're here," Mr. Weasley called back.

"Thank Merlin," Remus sighed in relief.

"Arthur! We got someone!" A man called from behind them.

"Stay here," Mr. Weasley looked sternly at the four before rushing back to the clearing.

"Are you alright?" Remus looked all of them up and down.
