"Okay so," Jaeden began as he shifted to sit in a cross legged position. "I bought this cool shirt while I was there."
His mother enthusiastically nodded at the shirt that was draped on Jaeden's body. "Jae, your phone is buzzing."
Jaeden looked over to his new iPhone (the one he received from Sophia) to see it shaking. He was getting a call from a newer number.
"Hello?" Jaeden politely said as he answered his phone. His mother left the room soon after his phone call began to give him privacy.
"Jaeden?" The voice on the other end of the line spoke. "It's Wyatt, from the show!"
Jaeden's cheeks became red very quickly and a large smile spread across his face. "O-oh! What's up?"
"Nothing much, just wanted to know if you wanna go see Paramore in concert next month?" Wyatt softly replied. Jaeden just knew how cute he looked right now.
"Definitely! I just got some birthday money from my family so I'm ready." Jaeden laughed as he replied. He shifted to lay on his back.
The two boys continued to discuss the upcoming concert and shared a few jokes and laughs along the way. The way they talked to each other could leave anyone guessing they'd known each other their whole lives.
"Wait, so how much are pit tickets?" Jaeden asked Wyatt in disbelief. They had been quarreling back and forth about where to sit and ticket prices for about an hour.
"One hundred and twenty five dollars per ticket! Isn't that cheap for the pit?" Wyatt replied.
"Yeah! One time I tried seeing Paramore and pit seats were like three hundred at least!" Jaeden laughed as he readjusted his seating position.
"Damn! Did you end up going anyways?" Wyatt asked with a slight chuckle.
"No, the pit seats were the only available ticket!" Jaeden replied with a sigh followed by another laugh.
Jaeden's mom occasionally peaked into her son's room to see what he was doing, but decided not to bother him. She hadn't seen him this happy in a long time.

After what seemed like the longest night ever, Jaeden woke up Monday morning for school. He just couldn't seem to get an ounce of sleep Sunday night. Maybe it's because he'd meet the new boy in his psych class... It's not like that boy would mean anything though, Jaeden's already talking to concert boy.
Due to his lack of caring, Jaeden didn't spend much time on his appearance. He threw out his new P!ATD shirt from the concert, some sweatpants, did his usual routine, and left. He had a feeling in his stomach telling him something important would happen today but he ignored it.
"Bye, mom!" He yelled as he went out the front door to his driveway. He once again got into his car to drive to school. For some weird reason, Jaeden's gut was telling him that today would be interesting.
He drove to school blasting his usual music, Panic! at the Disco. Nobody in the school parking lot was ever surprised either. They heard his music everyday and could not give two shits.
Entering the building through the double doors gave Jaeden a weird lump in his throat and a pit in his stomach. "What the hell?"
He shrugged it off, assuming he just had a minor stomach bug from the concert or the roller rink. It probably wasn't that big of a deal. He could always ask his friends about it.
As he reached their morning table, Jaeden greeted each of his friends with a smile. "Does anyone else feel like, I don't know, weird?"
"Not really, you're probably just nervous to meet the new kid in your psych class." Sophia replied with a blank expression and a shrug.
Millie's ears perked up. "There's supposed to be a new kid in our psych class?" She asked Jaeden with evident shock and surprise.
"Girl, this has been going through the group chat for a while now." Jack replied with sass. Finn laughed at him, and proceeded to call him gay.
"Yes, anyways, maybe Sophia's right." Jaeden told them. They didn't agree or disagree— they just continued to sit and shrug along with the conversation.
"Y'all are dry today." Millie loudly replied, breaking the silence. Soon after, the bell rang, meaning that the awkward silence wouldn't have to go on for much longer. It was weird how often the group became awkwardly silent.
Millie and Jaeden began walking to psychology together, chatting as normal. Inside, however, Jaeden was nervous once again. But why? It's not like the new kid was someone he knew or hated or anything.
As the pair arrived to psych, they took their seats. Soon after, a familiar face entered the room. "Wait a second..."
The new boy stood next to their psychology teacher and smiled. "Hi, my name is Wyatt Oleff. I'm new."
