Jaeden didn't know what to do. Should he text Wyatt? Ask him about what happened earlier? Should he be his typical self and ask him out on the spot? Or was that weird?
Whatever choice he were to make, he wanted to make it soon. He wanted to know what was going on between him and Wyatt before telling his mom anything.
Anxiety was nearly consuming him whole at this point so he made the quick decision to text Wyatt. After his fingers graced that tiny phone keyboard, there'd be no turning back.

( INCOMING CALL FROM WYATT! )

For an hour and a half, the two boys talked on the phone about what their plan was. They never officially confirmed that they were dating, but they both knew it was kind of official.
"I'm so glad I left my old school." Wyatt sighed and told Jaeden. "Well, got kicked out. But same thing basically."
"I'm glad you left, too." Jaeden replied with a huge smile on his face. Of course, Wyatt couldn't see his face, but his voice gave the fact he was smiling away.
"Also," Wyatt began. "I'm really really happy that you feel the same way I do! Ever since I saw you at the concert I couldn't stop thinking about you!"
"Shit, really?" Jaeden was not only shocked, but flattered. "I literally couldn't stop thinking about you either so I guess we're even, silly goose."
For the next hour that passed, the two boys laughed and chatted on the phone until they both struggled to stay awake. Even though they were on the verge of passing out, they didn't want to stop talking to each other.
"Hey, Jae." Wyatt whispered into the phone. "Goodnight, get a lot of sleep, okay?"
"Okay," Jaeden paused and softly smiled. "goodnight."
Once the long call had ended, Jaeden plugged his phone into the charger, put it on do-not-disturb mode, and went to sleep. His mind continued to race with thoughts about his new boyf- or friend? Was he officially his boyfriend or just a friend who liked him?
Instead of thinking too deeply, Jaeden decided he'd just ask Wyatt tomorrow. It wasn't that big of a deal, as long as he knew Wyatt was his and he was Wyatt's.
It wasn't officially love though. You can never know you love someone for sure until you know more about them. It was just an oddly familiar flutter and increased heartbeat that kept Jaeden on his toes about the curly-headed boy.
