On his way to school, Jaeden felt a mix of nerves and excitement. Would he ask out the curly headed boy? He wasn't even sure what his mind was thinking, but he was just confusing himself. Another day, another car ride blasting Panic!
As he entered the school after his arrival, all his friends began cracking up. "Okay..." Jaeden trailed off. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing's funny, it's just-" Millie paused to laugh again, causing the rest of the group to cackle. "I told them about my dad and your mom."
         "Shit, man." Jaeden wasn't upset, but what an awkward topic to bring up the minute they arrived at school. "Yeah, imagine how weird it is walking into their make out sesh after the concert."
         "Nah, fuck that! That's so weird!" Sophia practically yelled into the abyss that was the school cafeteria. "I mean as long as they're-"
Sophia's rambling was cut off by the appearance of a curly-headed boy. "Hey."
"Wait, hello!" Millie greeted, keeping her eyes locked on Jaeden. "I remember you from class yesterday! Jaeden also has said a lot about you."
"Millie!" Jaeden whisper-screamed as his face began to turn a tomato-y red color. This was not the way he planned for Wyatt to meet his friends.
         "Okay so basically, he's even cuter than you described him as!" Sophia added, pointing at Wyatt as if he wasn't right there.
         "Oh so you're talking about me?" Wyatt turned to Jaeden and asked with a smirk. "Cute."
         "Okay, maybe a little." Jaeden replied, with evident flirtatiousness in his voice. "Shut up!"
         The group of friends, plus Wyatt, continued to chat until the first bell of the day rang. Jaeden took off with what seemed like a sprint towards his first class. "Motherfucker, why are you running so fast?" Wyatt yelled at Jaeden as he chased him down the hallway. "You look stupid!"
Jaeden began to slow his pace and breathed heavily as he finished the trip to his first class, which was the one he had with Wyatt.
"They just kept exposing me!" Jaeden blushed. "I did talk about you a little bit... but that was top secret!"
"What? Can't talk about your boyfriend?" Wyatt playfully asked as he lightly punched Jaeden's arm. Those words made Jaeden stop in his tracks. So, they were official? It was never made clear with words, but I guess that was Wyatt's assumption after all.
"So we are boyfriends? Not just best friends who kissed?" The shorter boy asked, his voice quieter than it was before.
"I mean, yeah, right? If that's okay with you, of course." The curly-headed boy replied with a new sense of shyness evident in his voice. Although the pair was in the school hallway, it felt like they were sharing a frozen moment in time.
        "Yes yes! That's like... that's really what I want!" Words spilled out of Jaeden's mouth faster than his mind was moving. "God, this sounds like word vomit... I've just never had a boyfriend before."
         "Well... I'm glad I could be the first."
