The drive home for Jaeden was peaceful because he played his music, but he was also going to explode any minute. Did the boy he just met a few days ago kiss him? Yes. Did he also have feelings for said boy? Yes!
This rarely happened. The only time anyone has ever liked Jaeden back was in fifth grade when he thought he was straight and he dated Millie. Evidently, things didn't last.
Jaeden was torn between telling his mom or not. In fifth grade, when he told her about Millie, she forced him to tell her Millie's whole life story. Also, his mom would definitely limit how much they hang out if she knew Jaeden and Wyatt liked each other.
As soon as he arrived home, the sky had grown a bit dim. It wasn't completely pitch black outside but it wasn't light enough to be considered daytime either. Luckily, it was light enough for him to walk to his front door and unlock it without a flashlight.
"Hey Jae!" He beard his mom call to him as soon as he walked through the door. Not only was his mom home, but he heard another male voice from the kitchen. This time, he decided he'd go and investigate.
Surprisingly, it was the man he caught his mom making out with on the couch the other day. She never usually saw one man twice these days. Jaeden knew this because he's come home to several men. One time, his mom was even making out with a woman.
"Jaeden, this is Robert Brown." His mom gestured to the man next to her who waved to Jaeden.
"Wait, hold on, you're my friend Millie's dad!" Jaeden said in shock, a little bit of disgust, and a whole lot of confusion. That's why he looked a bit familiar.
"Yes, are you a friend of hers?" He asked confusedly.
"Yeah, we've been friends since like elementary school but I've only ever met her mom?" Jaeden was beyond confused. She never really talked about her parents so were they divorced?
"Oh, yeah. Her mom and I are divorced." Millie's father replied. Well, that answered Jaeden's question for him.
"Oh, goodnight mom!" Jaeden awkwardly said as he slowly backed out of the kitchen. That was too much information to handle and once again, it stopped Jaeden from telling his mom about Wyatt.
Maybe it was the universe trying to tell Jaeden that telling his mom about Wyatt so soon was a bad idea. He did have to text Millie ASAP though.

Jaeden's life suddenly just got really crazy all at once. The amount of shock he'd experienced in one day was sort of unreal, and kind of hard to deal with. He knew one thing though, he had to wait a bit longer before telling his mom about Wyatt.
