I woke up to the sound of my phone blowing up, well obviously not blowing up but you know what i mean i was getting spammed alot as if somebody has just died
I grabbed my phone scrolling through all my notifications
My heart dropped. No this can't be. It has to be fake
'Rapper lil peep has died of a suspected overdose at the age of 21 years old more to come'
No this has to be a dream, i rubbed my eyes before jumping out of bed and running downstairs to turn the telly on in the kitchen turning it straight to the news channel
'Rapper lil peep has died' no i turned it to another one
'He was only 21 years old' another one said making tears fill my eyes
My phone started to ring in my hands
"Hello" i sniffled as more tears ran down my face as i stood there watching the news, his tour bus and all the police cars outside of it with the tape cornering ofd the tour bus
"Cleo i'm so sorry" my dad said through the other end of the phone "I should of let you go, i'm sorry i know he was your favourite" i could feel a hint of guilt come from him but i know he doesnt mean it
"No it's fine" i said before hanging up the phone slamming it down on the counter.
This can't be true, it has to be a dream more tears streamed down my face. My head was between my elbows on the marble counter. I grabbed my phone wiping away the tears i scrolled through all my social media accounts to see it flooded with posts dedicated to peep all saying 'RIP'
I went to peeps instagram to see his last ever post and the comments were now flooded with RIP and forever legend man i bet you didn't even know who he was last night.
