(Y/n's POV)
I groggily move my arm over to the alarm that was so annoyingly going off, slamming it off with my hand. I groan. I really don't want to do this today...not after last night...
[LAST NIGHT]
"SIR I NEED YOU TO CALM DOWN-"
SMACK
"SIR!"
Three, no FOUR nurses grab the man and hold him off of me as I rub my now sore cheek. Damn...homeboy has a smack...
[END]
I rub my sore cheek and shake it off, knowing the man was in no state of mind for me to be hooking him up with an IV. I sit up in bed, cracking as many bones as I could before standing and leaving for the kitchen to make some coffee as I debated on breakfast.
"Good morning Luci," The small white cat meowed, rubbing up against my leg asking for some breakfast. "Ok ok, I got the message." I chuckle. I grab a cup full of food and dump it into her bowl, her small little legs running at full speed to devour the food.
I pour some fresh water into the coffee machine as well as some grounds, hitting start before starting on some toast. Might as well, tonight is a 12 hour shift...who knows when I'll be able to eat next.
While the toast...toasted I took this time to go and pick out some scrubs for the day, as well as pack my lunch.
The lucky scrubs for the day were a pair of lavender scrubs, topped off with white shoes that'll have to be disinfected and cleaned by the end of the week. I hear my toast pop up in the kitchen, excited I rush downstairs, spreading whatever I could find in my fridge on them.
It was butter...thankfully.
As I finished my toast, packing my lunch and sipping my coffee, I had less than an hour to shower, get dressed and leave for the hospital. I sigh. "Oh Luci, I may be regretting this." Luci cocks her head to the side. As if she could understand me in the first place.

"Y/n!" My good friend and coworker Aria yells. "Good morning! How's your face?" She says with a slight giggle.
I roll my eyes and flick her forehead. "It was fine till I had to look at your face this morning," Aria looks at me slightly offended. "Kidding, my face is fine."
Aria scoffs. "You're lucky I'm not going to tell Taehyung..."
"OH WHATS HE GONNA DO?!" Aria and I both throw our heads back in laughter.
"Wanna see what I can do?" Taehyung says, all of a sudden in front of us. Aria and I bring our heads up, bowing in apology. "Thought so ladies...just head over to the breakroom where you'll clock in and get started." Aria and I nod, leaving before we make the situation worse.
"Damn who pissed in his cheerios?" Aria mumbles causing me to laugh.
"Probably his wife if I'm honest, heard she's being a little...y'know." I say, taking a sip of my now cold coffee that I had to pack in a hurry.
"Bitchy?" Aria scoffs. "Not surprised. It's probably the same thing again, Taehyung thinks they're too busy for a child and yet, she pushes." I nod my head.
"BINGO!" I toss my coffee in the bin before entering the breakroom, changing into the scrubs I brought from home. "Aria, how's your life? I feel like we haven't talked in...a week." I admit looking up at Aria.
Aria gives me a snobby face, mouth slightly open. "I saw you yesterday..." I shrug, slipping my scrub shirt over my head. "But I'm fine, Carla is fine as well." She smiled.
Carla and Aria have been married for god knows how long, both going and graduating from the same high school, as well as working in the same hospital, except different fields. Carla is a cardiologist, meaning she deals with the heart. As for Aria and I, we're just plain old physicians. Nothing special in our eyes.
"You think anything crazy is gonna happen today?" Aria asks as she tied up her left shoe.
I chuckle. "Aria, you're gonna have to define crazy. A lot of shit happens here that people consider crazy that we find normal."
"I DON'T KNOW! Maybe we'll meet a celebrity or something...maybe they'll die or break a bone or some shit." Aria and I both throw our heads back in laughter knowing something like that isn't likely, celebrities go to their own private doctors for help. Unless they break a bone then they'll probably come here. But the chances of that happening are slim to none.
Aria and I both grab our designated care plans for the day and head out. My first patient, Frita Choi. Frita has been here in the hospital for a few weeks now, recovering from a broken femur that she sustained while hiking. Falling down a cliff and landing on a rock wasn't the plan.
*knock knock* "Frita?" I call, hoping the girl was decent. Frita yells back and I walk in with a smile. "How are you sweet girl?" I ask, taking her temp as well as checking her incision for any signs of infection.
"I'm ok, in a little bit of pain but doing alright." I nod my head, writing that down on her chart for the nurses to take care of.
"That's good that you're doing alright and I apologize for the pain, I'm sure the nurses will have something in mind to give you to stop that." Frita nods with a kirt smile. I could tell she had something on her mind. "Are you sure everything is alright?"
Frita shrugs as she rubs the back of her neck. "Prom is coming up y'know? and I just really want to make it in time...is there anyway I'll be able to get out of here before then?" She asked with hesitation.
I grab her hand. "I'm sorry, but I can't really make any promises right now. It all depends on the healing process for your leg, all we can do is sit here and wait." Frita nods her head, but gives me a genuine smile.
I always felt bad for doing this. Patients asking when they're able to go home and me not being able to give them a straight forward answer. Some maybe, but most not really. Frita was just one of those cases.
Before leaving I pat Frita's shoulder, grabbing my clipboard and walking out of her room, the hospital alarm going off. All of a sudden I see Aria running towards me at full speed. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" I yell.
"WE HAVE A PATIENT COMING IN THROUGH THE ER WHO IS CODING, WE HAVE TO GO!" I place Frita's clipboard in the side compartment before booking it down the hallway with Aria, running towards the ER.
As we enter the ER, skidding to a stop, we see EMS bringing in a man on a stretcher, another man on top of him giving him CPR. "Male, 27, collapsed at basketball game due to a heart attack. He also sustained an open fracture break." I grab the clipboard and see no name.
"Where the hell is the name? How are we supposed to help him when he has no name?" I yell. The EMS guy holds his hands up in defense. I roll my eyes. "Aria, go stand under the bed where they're going to transfer and look at the name on the back of his jersey." Aria nods, running over to the bed.
I nod at the EMS personnel, letting them know we have it from here. "Y/n! The name is Min!" I jot down the name on the clipboard, tossing it onto the counter.
"Do we have a pulse?" I ask and Aria shakes her head.
"They've been going for thirty minutes, I'm sure they're tired." Aria says, making a very valid point.
"Sir, call a switch and take it to ventilations, I can do chest compressions." The paramedic nods his head as I lower the bed down to my hip for proper access.
"SWITCH!" The paramedic gets off of the man and goes to ventilations where he switched with the ER nurse. After two breaths in, I began chest compressions. Sets of thirties and two's being called before we got it,
we have a pulse.
