(Y/n's POV)
"Y/n! It's late, get up!" I groan, turning over to stuff my face deeper into the pillow. I was not ready for my first real day. "Y/n-"
"I'M COMING!" I yell, Seokjin chuckling before leaving to where he was needed most. I sat up, my hair sticking up in the air, to the side and over my face. I guess I was comfortable last night. Swinging my legs over the bed I eventually scoot myself out, heading into the bathroom to get ready.
When I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, sighing. "Lookin' good I guess." I mumble, sitting down to use the toilet.
After making myself look presentable I headed out of the room to see Seokjin talking with a tall slender man wearing a track suit. "Nice of you to join us Y/n, this is Jeongguk." Seokjin said gesturing to the man.
I make my way down the stairs, holding my hand out for Jeongguk to shake. "Nice to meet you, we talked through email a few days back." Jeongguk nods his head.
"We did, I wasn't expecting you to be living here with Min Yoongi, are you two-"
"No, not at all." I said before he could finish his sentence. My cheeks flushed a light pink, is that what people are going to think? That we're dating? Or even...MARRIED?!
'God I hope not...'
Seokjin clears his throat to make noise in light of the awkward silence. "Let me show you where you'll be helping Yoongi," Seokjin gestures Jeongguk up the stairs before turning back to me. "Breakfast is on the table, after you may start whatever you may need to do for today." Seokjin smiled, heading up the stairs with Jeongguk.
I sigh before heading into the kitchen where a large plate of food was sitting, waiting to be eaten. I wasn't sure how long it had been sitting there, it was probably cold by now due to the fact that I had taken forever to get out of bed.
Grabbing the plate of food I set it in the microwave and set the timer for a minute. As I'm digging through the fridge to find something to drink, I begin to hear groaning. My eyebrows furrowed and curiously I peeked around the corner to see Yoongi hopping down the stairs with one leg and his scooter in hand.
I rush over to help, not wanting him to fall down the stairs and injure himself even more. "I got it." He said, pulling the scooter away from me. I go to stand to the side of him in case he began to fall, but to my surprise he makes it down successfully.
"Don't think now that you know you can do it that you should do it all of the time. You could seriously hurt yourself. What if no one is around to help you when you fall?" I asked.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, setting his injured foot on his scooter. "I'll be fine, besides I'm going to have to learn how to do things on my own when you're gone anyway." He said before rolling away and into the kitchen.
I already knew he felt as if he was losing his independence with this whole situation, but he has to understand I'm not here to take that away from him. I'm here to help him.
Yoongi grabs whatever he could find before sitting down at the bar to eat. I walk back over to the microwave and grab my breakfast that was nice and warm, setting my plate down a few chairs away from Yoongi and began eating.
"You must think I have cooties or some shit with how far you're sitting away from me." He comments, taking a bite into his apple he found from the counter bowl.
With a mouth full of food, I look over and give him a crusty look. I swallow before commenting back, "It's literally two seats away, do you want me all up in your business? Cause' I can move." I ask.
Yoongi grows a smile, shaking his head. "Nah, you stay over there." I lightly chuckle before continuing to eat my food. "So...what's the plan for today?" He asked.
"Well, right now Seokjin is showing Jeongguk around and when Jeongguk is finished knowing the place as well as setting up, you will head back upstairs so he can work with you." I explain as I take one of the last bite of my food.
I could hear Yoongi groan at the thought of going back up the stairs when he had just so graciously come down the first time today. "When will this all be over..." He groaned, leaning his head on his hand.
"It all depends on how fast you heal. It could take weeks, months-"
"MONTHS!?" He yelled.
"YES. Months. Yoongi you sustained an open fracture break, that isn't some light hearted stuff, its serious. So many things could go wrong in the next few weeks that may hold you back even longer, but I trust my work and so should you."
"Well what does that mean?" He asked. I turn to the side and look at him, a confused look on my face. 'Did I not just explain myself?'
"It means you can't be going down the stairs by yourself anymore, and you have to ask for help when you need it. Such as, GOING UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS." I emphasize those last few words before smiling and grabbing my plate to put in the sink.
Seokjin comes running down the stairs, a smile on his face. "Jeongguk is ready for you Yoongi." Yoongi sighs, looking at Seokjin, then to me, then to his scooter, back to Seokjin. "Do you want help going up the stairs?" Seokjin asks causing me to snort.
Yoongi shakes his head. "No, I want Y/n to help me." He said, giving me a fake smile.
"Gladly." I respond. He has to understand things like this take time. If his injury doesn't heal his basketball career may be over before he knows it. "Let's get you upstairs to see Jeongguk, Seokjin!" I call.
Seokjin comes running down the stairs. "Need help?" He asks and I nod.
"If you wouldn't mind taking Yoongi's scooter I'll take him." Seokjin nods once as he took Yoongi's scooter. I threw Yoongi's arm over my shoulder, pushing most his weight on me.
"Y'know, this would be a lot easier on you if you didn't insist I ask for help." Yoongi commented causing me to shoot a glare his way. I readjust Yoongi's body before we started to climb up the stairs.
The three of us eventually make it into therapy. "Hello Yoongi, I'm Jeon Jeongguk your personal physical therapist. Please call me Jeongguk." The young boy bows in respect of Yoongi.
Yoongi's mood changes the moment he is introduced to the physical therapist. "Nice to meet you, Jeongguk. I'm excited to get started."
"Liar." Seokjin whispers causing me to giggle. The crippled man turns around and shoots a frown towards the two of us.
"Just leave." Yoongi says, grabbing the scooter from Seokjin's hand and rolling over to Jeongguk.
Seokjin and I leave the room, shutting the door on the way out. "Do you think he'll do good?" Seokjin asked as we headed downstairs into the living room.
"I think it's going to be a long, painful process but I do believe his recovery time is going to be a lot shorter then most. If he's determined and passionate enough to get back on the court, I think he'll have a pretty quick recovery.
Seokjin smiles at that. "I think so too, especially with you by his side." He comments, turning to face me.
"Me? Seokjin, I'm just here to make sure he doesn't break anything else," The two of us laugh. "But I hope he understands that I'm not here to hurt him, or restrict him in anyway. I'm worried he might think I'm a bad person for not allowing him to do much of anything." I admit.
Seokjin nods his head in agreement. "I think he knows you're here to help, he's never done good when it comes to receiving help from others. He likes doing things on his own, he knows things get done that way. I've told him multiple times since you've been here that you're trying to help and that he has to trust the process."
I smile. "Trust the process, huh?"
