(Y/n's POV)
Hours had passed since Jeongguk had come over for physical therapy, and have since eaten dinner. Both Yoongi and Seokjin had disappeared somewhere in the house, probably the basement playing video games or something. I decided to stay upstairs and hang out in the living room.
I had my laptop sitting on my lap as I scrolled through social media, answering emails as well as paying any bills I had. As I scroll through my emails, I see my phone screen light up with a message,
"Taehyung..." I sigh in relief, shutting my laptop and setting it down on the coffee table. When I open the message I smile, he was asking if we could video call and talk about things. I respond with a yes, grabbing my laptop once more and waiting for his call.
Shortly after his face pops up on my screen. "Hi Taehyung," I say, Taehyung smiles.
"Hey, how are things?" He asked, I gave him a thumbs up. "I wanted to get ahold of you and apologize. I was planning on doing so in person when you arrived back home but, I really need you right now." He admits.
"All is forgiven Taehyung, I apologize as well for acting out the way I did. I should have handled it like an adult and I didn't, so I'm sorry as well." I take a deep breath, stopping the tears from falling. Keep it together homegirl.
"You're good Y/n," He sighs, grabbing his glass and taking a swig of it before changing the topic. "Now let's talk trash and by trash I mean my now ex-wife." I gasp.
"TAEHYUNG." I yell as he laughs, I join in no later. "What happened?" I asked, something must have happened if he calls her trash out of no where, Taehyung was so in love with her before he had to make the executive decision of divorcing her.
He pours himself another drink, I'm assuming whiskey, taking a sip before continuing. "Well, we finalized it all over the week right? It was then that I found out she was sleeping with not one, not two, but three different guys during the time we were married, plus she was also going out and picking up guys, so I don't even have a number for you there."
By the time Taehyung had finished talking my mouth was wide open. "No fucking way..." I whisper. Taehyung nodding.
"Then, here's the best part. She then had the audacity to tell the judge I was the one cheating which, doesn't make sense? I barely even have time to sleep between shifts how in the hell would I have time to cheat on her?" You could tell this was something that has been bothering Taehyung for quite a while.
"Oh Tae, I'm so sorry." I say, Taehyung shrugs his shoulders. This probably would be a whole lot worse if they were still married and not even thinking of divorce, thankfully he was able to get out of the toxicity.
Taehyung and I talked for about an hour before he called it good and decided to head to bed. I told him I might be doing the same after I gave Yoongi his meds. "How's that going by the way?" He asked.
"It's going good, I've gotten to know both of the boys very well. Yoongi's healing process is going amazing, he's starting to slowly walk and his incision is almost fully healed." I gave a brief explanation, causing a smile to form on Taehyung's face. "What?"
"You like it there don't you?" He asked.
"I guess so, what makes you say that?" I laugh and Taehyung rolls his eyes.
"C'mon Y/n, I can see it. You realized Yoongi wasn't as bad of a guy as you thought he was, he grew on you...and you don't seem to have a problem with it." Taehyung bounces his eyebrows a few times causing me to laugh.
Maybe Taehyung was right, he had grown on me and I didn't seem to mind and yeah maybe I do like living with Yoongi and Seokjin but it's not going to last forever.
Right?
"Well now that I've been under your skin I'm going to bed, sleep good! Goodnight Y/n!" Taehyung said as he ended the call. Just because he can get under my skin doesn't mean he should...
I laugh to myself as I shut my laptop once more, setting it back down on the table. I hear laughing and yelling coming from behind me, turning around I see the two boys coming up the stairs. Well, one of them is the other one is hobbling behind him slowly, but he's still doing it!
"What were you guys doing?" I asked. Yoongi grabs the scooter from Seokjin and scoots over to me, sitting down next to me on the couch.
"We were downstairs playing video games and Jin cheated!" He yelled once more causing Seokjin to laugh.
"I DID NOT!" Seokjin yelled back. The two argue back and forth for a few more minutes before Seokjin called it and went upstairs. I shook my head in disbelief. 'Didn't know it mattered so much...'
I put my feet up on the couch causing my knees to be up to my chest. "I heard you talking to someone a second ago, can I ask who it was?" Yoongi asked. Why does he care who I was talking to? Doesn't matter, he's probably just trying to make conversation.
"I was talking with Taehyung, he wanted to see how everything and everybody was doing." I position myself so I could look at Yoongi while we talked. "I let him know you were healing very well, I should be out of your hair in a week and a half." I hated to admit that, but I can't stay here for very much longer. Especially when Yoongi is almost completely healed.
Yoongi's face fell into a disappointed one. I wasn't sure as to why, just last week he was yelling at me and now he seems to be upset with me having to leave. "Really?" He asked to which I nodded my head at.
"Seokjin told me you guys liked having someone else around, I like being here as well but I have a life back home. Besides you won't need me anymore once you're healed." I explained. Yoongi nodded his head in understanding.
"I'll admit, I do like having you around. A lot. I know I was harsh in the beginning but please understand that It wasn't to hurt you or push you away, I-"
"You don't need to explain yourself Yoongi I understand, there aren't any harsh feelings." I stopped him mid sentence, I didn't want to listen to him drag himself down for something that he can't help. I don't blame him for not trusting me in the beginning.
Yoongi nods his head. "I was just making sure you understood where I was coming from." I lean forward and rub his shoulder. The two of us sat on the couch for some time, both of our heads laying on the back of the couch. It was quiet, the lights were dimmed, and we were both,
comfortable.
My eyes begin to close, but soon open at the sound of Yoongi's voice. Upon opening my eyes I could see his head was turned to face me. "Y/n, do you believe in love?" Yoongi asked and I chuckled. "What?" He laughed.
"That's kind of an odd question to ask, but I mean I guess? I've loved someone before." I admit, not wanting to share the fact that it was him back in high school.
"Was it me back in high school?" He jokes causing me to laugh awkwardly. "OH MY GOD IT WAS WASN'T IT!" He yells.
"SHUT UP, you're gonna wake Seokjin." Yoongi and I both laugh. "I'm not going to say yes or no, all I said was that I loved someone before." Yoongi sighs, obviously upset he wasn't able to get it out of me.
We sit for a little longer, our eyes fixated on each other. You could tell the two of us were both tired, our eyes drifting off every once in a while but we force them to stay awake. "We should get to bed." Yoongi whispered.
I nodded my head, too tired to really respond. We stayed seated, and instead of standing Yoongi's face started to get closer to mine. Was this actually happening right now? Is he about to kiss me or is he just getting the energy to stand? Are we-
Before I could think or say anything more, his forehead connected with mine. There was no kiss, no passionate moment, but a soft one instead. His eyes closed, as did mine, as we just sat there with our heads together.
It only took a few seconds for the both of us to finally be asleep.
