CHAPTER 42

SETH POV:

I kept glancing over at Taylor the entire time we drove, as I had offered to take her home that day irregardless of who saw us now. She protested against it at first, but after much convincing had finally agreed to let me drive her. It was the least I could do, and that way it meant I could spend a little more time with her before having to get back on the road for Smackdown tonight, and I'd use that time to hopefully try and patch up some of the damage I had already done in her breaking heart. She hadn't said much since stepping out of the shower back at the hotel, and I knew it was because she was feeling slightly jealous over me spending time with Leighla later. It wasn't my intention for her to hear that phone call, but now that she had I knew she was hurt by it, and I knew I had to fix that before I left.

''It's just here'' she said, pointing to a cute little house surrounded by a neatly trimmed hedge. I slowed the car down and peered out the window at it ''this is where you live my Taylor?'' I smiled at the warm looking family home, which kinda reminded me of our old home in South Davenport when I was a kid growing up.

''This is it'' she said quietly, picking up her purse and smoothing her hair back ''...well'' she said turning toward me with a soft smile as she took a deep breath ''...it...it was nice knowing you Seth'' and she quickly looked down again, but I already saw the tear drop fall from her eye.

''Taylor...'' I whispered, turning off the engine and placing my hand next to her face ''...babe, this is not the end okay, I still want to see you'' I smiled at her.

''I don't think that's such a good idea Seth. I already broke the girl code by sleeping with another girls boyfriend, and I deserve to live with the guilt of that for the rest of my life...but Leighla doesn't'' she said softly.

How was someone so young, able to behave so maturely over a situation like this...but it just made me love her all the more.

''I can't say what will happen right at this very moment Taylor, but the one thing I can say, and with confidence too, is that I have fallen for you babe, big time. And you might not know it yet, but I can see you feel the same way, and I'm not willing to lose you Taylor, not by long shot'' I told her, speaking directly from my heart.

''Please Seth, don't make this more difficult than it already is'' she cried, gently wiping the tears from her eyes and talking another deep breath ''I wish you and Leighla the best of luck, I really hope it works out for you guy's, and if she's willing to listen, please tell her how sorry I am for hurting her the way I did'' she then leaned over and kissed me softly on the cheek ''Goodbye Kingslayer.''

My heart began breaking into a million and one pieces as I watched the love of my life exiting my car.

''No, wait Taylor please!'' I begged, quickly reaching over and taking her hand in mine, softly kissing the top of it as she looked at me with those beautiful almond eyes ''I have to see you again. This can't be the end between us'' I cried, feeling my eyes instantly fill with tears.

She looked down at me and smiled an ever so soft smile ''I will hold the special night we shared in my heart forever Seth, and I'm sure you will hold it in your heart too...but Leighla deserves better than that...and so do I.''

''But...I love you'' I cried again.

''I love you too Seth, I really do...but I'm still saying goodbye.'' And with that, she slowly released her hand from mine and walked inside her house, while I just sat there, too hurt to move as I watched her door close.

''Fuck!'' I said, punching my fist into the dash, then leaning over and holding my head in my hands as tears poured out my eyes. I had never felt like this over anyone before. And at that very moment, it felt as if I couldn't breathe. I leaned my head back the car rest, and looked at her door again...

I couldn't take the pain anymore, I needed to get away from everything. I immediately turned the keys in the ignition, and drove as fast as I could.

TAYLOR POV:

I watched from my window as Seth's card sped away, then I lay on my bed and cried my eyes out for what felt like two eternities.

LEIGHLA POV:

It felt weird having Randy drive me to the 'Hilton Garden Inn' hotel so I could talk with Colby, but seeing as he and some of the other roster was staying there too tonight, I accepted the ride.

My mind had been crammed all day with questions I wanted Colby to give me the answers too, yet at the same time, I didn't know if I actually wanted to hear the answers to any of them. I knew I would be crying a lot when I met him, but being a typical girl, I still wanted to look good too-even if just to show him what he was missing. Randy had insisted on looking after my luggage for me, but to be honest, I wasn't planning on sleeping in his room again tonight...

SETH POV:

Knock Knock....

''It's me, Leighla'' I heard her say from the other side of the door...here goes...

I slowly walked over and opened the door, with it taking me a second or two to look up into her eyes, and when I did, I immediately looked down again with guilt ''Come in'' I said quietly.

I could see she had all her luggage with her, which only complicated things all the more.

''Colby I-''

''You wan-''

We both looked at each other and smiled ''you first'' she said quietly.

''I was gonna ask if you want to take a seat'' I said, gesturing for her to sit on the couch. She walked over and perched herself on the edge of the bed instead, while I pulled her luggage inside and shut the door.

''Can I uh, get you something to drink?'' I asked nervously.

''No'' she said, fiddling with her hands. My own hands felt sweaty with nerves, as I carefully made my way over to the couch and sat opposite her.

''Please Colby'' she said ''...don't keep me hanging on like this, just...tell me who she is'' she said, taking her fashion hat off and running her fingers through her hair as she sat looking at me, waiting in anticipation.

''She's no one Leighla...just some girl I met'' I told her sheepishly.

''I called you a million times Colby, and you didn't answer once! You couldn't even be bothered to fucking answer me! And why is that huh? Because even after everything that you did to hurt me, it wasn't enough to kick that little slut out of your bed was it?! I know she spent the night Colby. She spent the fucking night with you in your fancy little Penthouse Suite, while I was left crying my eyes out, and continuously calling you all night long, when you should have been calling me! And still, you didn't even have the decency to call me back! ASSHOLE!'' she cried, her face becoming waterfall of tears as she cried her eyes out in anger ''so don't you dare-now that I'm face to face with you-try and insult my intelligence by lying to me! Because I know what I heard when I walked in and saw you both...'' she said, clenching her teeth and taking a deep breath as she looked directly at me ''...you were telling her you LOVED HER Colby'' she cried, blazing up in a vicious rage!

''Leighla, calm down please'' I tried saying.

''Clam down? Calm down?! No! I will not 'calm down' you asshole!!! Because I know this isn't 'just some' girl you met Colby'' she said, raising her eyebrows to me ''feelings are involved when you tell someone you love them, I should know, because I've said the same thing to you every day for the last TWO YEARS!!'' she yelled, standing up and crying into her hands.

I was having my heart ripped left right and centre today, yet I knew it was nothing in comparison to the way Leighla was feeling right now.
