~Author's note~

Hi, boredom here. Here's a chapter, enjoy!

(I only own Demi and her storyline! I don't own any gifs or pictures I put into this fanfiction!)

You know the feeling, where all you want to is sleep, but then you happen to wake up for no apparent reason, and can't go back to sleep?

Isn't it such an annoying feeling, or experience?

I know it is, because I happen to be going through it. Like right now, but I got woken up by that ball of blindingly bright light in the morning sky, or whatever that is.

It's to early to think about stuff right now.

But then again, I am technically thinking.. Or is this called, talking to yourself, but I'm asleep.

I think I'm asleep..

Am I asleep?

"No, you're not asleep," A voice says, sounding like Tess's voice.

Well if I'm really not asleep, then why can't I see anything...?

"You're eyes are closed," The same voice answers, but another one pipes in. One more masculine.

"Tess, just let it go. She's just being weird, as usual."

"Does she normally do this..?" A new voice questions.

"Yes," Tess, and I think Day, answers simultaneously.

There's a silence, and there's a feeling of lingering eyes staring at my lying body.

I squint my eyes tightly before slowly opening my left eye.

Day stares at me with a blank face, his hair hidden underneath one of his newsboy caps, as he sits on the balcony's railings as usual.

Then, I open both of my eyes to be faced with Tess sitting next to the Girl with one of her eyebrows raised. The Girl, on the other hand, looks at me with a confused but questioning expression.

Heat rises on my cheeks as I smile embarrassingly. I let out a couple of small fake laughs to try to cover it up, but everyone just continues to stare at me.

Gosh, why does this happen to me...

The Girl coughs to break the tension, which is now added to the 'why I'm grateful for this mystery girl' list.

I bring my knees to my chest and rest my chin on them, letting my hair shield my face to hide my pink cheeks. Man.. so embarrassing.... Not to self: Don't think while 'sleeping'...

The Girl looks up at Tess, "Tess, I'm going to head down to the water. I'll be back in a minute," She informs.

"You sure you can make it by yourself?" Tess asks.

"I'll be fine," She responds, a smile in her voice. "If you see me floating unconscious out to sea, though by all means, come and get me," She jokes, to which I let out a little laugh.

Tess nods, and allows the Girl to stand up.

As she passes me, I subtly grab her hand to catch her attention.

Serious, I mouth a 'Thank you.'

'Welcome,' She mouths back with a small smile, and then heads down to the water.

I let out a sigh, "She probably thinks there's something wrong with me."

"Noo... Really.. I thought that talking when you're clearly awake, but denying it, and pretending you're asleep, is completely normal," Day sarcastically says, glancing back at me.
