Take a seat at the table. Dinner will be here soon.

It was raining hard tonight. Robert looked around and saw that everyone was standing in the main room. They walked over and sat at the table.

What's for dinner? Robert thought. He was always hungry, no matter how many chips he ate. Without any warning, someone knocked on the door. He snickered (he could really go for some Snickers bars now, actually) as he watched Paul jump almost a mile and then disappear. The invisibility thing was really weird.

Someone is at the door. Answer it?

"I'll get it," Denise smiled at them and got up. A few seconds later, the voice returned.

Denise opened the door... it's the pizza delivery man!

"PIZZA!" Robert squealed with delight. "PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA!" As three boxes appeared in the table, he lunged blindly at them, hoping for a big piece like everyone else. He pulled out a minuscule slice.

"WHAT?! No fair! You guys got huge slices and I got the tiniest one ever!"

Some slices of pizza appear to be smaller than others. Grab a slice!

"Now you tell us," Robert pouted.

The lights flickered out. Darkness and silence engulfed the house. Paul squeaked, too scared to say anything.

What happened to the lights..?

If the voice itself didn't know, that made Paul even more nervous.

The television is still running...

"Ooh, we can watch TV in the dark! I've always wanted to do that!" Steve yelled.

"As long as we're watching cartoons, then fine," Heather huffed. Everyone sat on the couch, and the breaking news began:

This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill.

The purge has begun. Villains are on the loose and should be avoided.

Stay inside. Keep doors locked and windows closed.

Their leader is Scary Larry. If you see him, you need to run or hide. Do not try to fight him, or you will be defeated.

The television turned off. Everyone looked terrified, except for Gorge, who looked like he'd gone through this a million times, and Ashley, who looked way too excited.

"H-how are you so excited?!" Paul yelled, crushing his bear for support. "We're gonna get killed!"

"We can beat the odds, guys! We can be the dream team!" Ashley exclaimed. "We can do this! We can-" she was cut off by the reappearance of the voice:

...Hopefully nothing to worry about. It's bed time... Sleeping gives you energy. Go to bed.

"Cmon, guys, this can wait till the morning. We need to get sleep if we're going to do anything about it." Denise said, even though she looked pretty shaken herself. "Pick a bed!"

That night, the blue room was occupied by Heather, Denise, Megan, and Robert. Barry, Paul, Olive, and Nick took the green room, and the pick room held Ashley, Gorge, Steve, and Jack. Ashley smiled as she snuggled into bed. It was a great day. The world faded to black...

CRASH.

Ashley jumped out of bed, confused and tired. Then she understood. In the moonlight, a new figure was visible: a villain who had broken through the window. She screamed, and it charged her. Just before his crowbar impaled her, another person jumped in front of her. Gorge. She and Steve watched helplessly as Gorge fought the villain, his face becoming almost indistinguishable beneath the layer of scratches and bruises. Jack yelled, "Gorge! Let me get him! We can't lose you!"

Gorge and the villain hit each other one last time before both falling to the floor, the villain crumbling to pieces, and Gorge about to.

"No," he gasped. "You need your energy, Jack. Protect... the kids from- from Scary Larry. Good luck..."

Ashley burst into tears at the sight of Gorge's disappearing body, and the last thing she heard before the world faded again was the voice:

Gorge has fallen.
