A/N, if you don't read this part it's fine, but it will help for you to figure out a little bit more about my interpretation of werewolf culture/ rules in this story.
I'll try to make it short so those of you who don't want to read it all can skim through it. Thanks, hope you enjoy the book and let me know if you find any spelling/ grammar errors, or are confused in anyway.

Werewolf integration into society:
- It was some quickly and with minimal fuss. The people that did oppose it quickly got over it once they realized that any werewolf could break their spines rather quickly.

Werewolf laws:
- Despite being the more powerful species, werewolves only really wanted two things, to be treated as equals, and to find love in the form of a mate. Unfortunately equality also met equal rules and restrictions.
1. Werewolves may only halfshift in public and only when threatened.
2. While werewolves have claim to their human mate, said mate is allowed a minimum of 4 days to adjust with the development and to say their goodbyes, if the mate is decidedly a flight risk the ruling will vary from case to case.
3. Murder between or within species will be punished in a similar manner to human homicide, punishment will vary from state to state and providence to providence.
4. Werewolves have the right to patrol their own land, but any human trespassers must be presented before the territories alpha and a court of at least 3 unmated humans.
(there are many more but please don't make me write them out, my brain hurts from having to write all proper and official like...)

Mates:
- Mates of werewolves are determined by the fates at birth and are therefore unchangeable.
- On the chance that a werewolf's mate dies or is found to be deceased, the werewolf may choose a new mate with their consent.
- Mating parades will be held once a month, we're unmated male and female werewolves are welcome to pass through the town square and main residential area to find a scent trail or physically find their mates. Humans are welcome to attend or nearly stay at home and go about their day.
- Lastly, human and werewolf mating as well as same sex mating is a lot more common then you'd think, so don't be super surprised when you see it through out the book.

Main Character Background~ (aka my favorite part)

Elise Rene Micheals:
- Human
- 19
- Barley 5 foot 2, but DO NOT call her small
- Raised under god fearing, werewolf fearing humans, they didn't cause her to have an extreme hate for weres but a deep underlying fear of their capabilities
- Deep love for painting/ drawing and special effects makeup
- 85% fear, 15% curiosity, idk how but it kinda works out for the best, she starts to find something cool but has enough smarts to watch from afar
- Not overly athletic or smart, solid B student, but very kind and tries to help when needed
- Shy, but underlying happy personality

Jason Dickson: (you'll find out why no middle name later ;) )
- Warrior of Tribute Pack
- 24
- No family
- Been with pack for 6 years, looked for mate for 8
- Quiet but calming presence
- 6 foot 6
- Wolf (Jax) is a jackass, he's persistent and rude and pushy, and has ZERO sense of boundaries
