Chapter Two

Nash POV: ( I know what your thinking...Nash already! But I went back to before he went to the park, ok? )

Okay...so lately Hayes has been kind of upset, that is because he just found out his girlfriend Miranda had been cheating on him before they left school for summer. He hasn't talked much or really done anything but mope around, but to be honest? The girlfriends he dates are almost always crap. I wish he could find someone that actually loved him, and made him happy.

Yet, who am I to talk? I don't even have a girlfriend...

Hayes POV:

"Hey mom, I'm going to go to the park, okay? Just to clear my mind..." I told my mom.
"Sure honey, but can you please take Skylynn?" She asked.
"Okay, come on Sky." I called, and she immediately jumped off the chair from coloring to come with me.

As we where walking to the park Skylynn was running around me in circles singing some song about horses, I thought it was cute.

When we got to the park I saw another little girl there her age with short brown hair on the slide, and told her to play with her. She then got excited and went to go up to her, so I went and sat on a nearby bench.

That was when I saw her... She looked so pretty, even from a distance...Long lightish, darkish brown hair and the perfect smile.

That's when Skylynn and the little girl ran up to her on the swings, I could faintly hear their conversation. Skylynn introducing herself, so polite, and then them running off giggling, I started to laugh too.

I then thought about going over there to introduce myself, so I went and sat on the other swing and said chuckling
"So I see you've meet my sister Skylynn already."
"I have." She replied as I just admired her for a second, looking into her eyes...which looked like marbles, a mixture of green and brown at the same time.

"Oh, I'm Hayes by the way" I said putting out my hand for her to shake.
"Gwen." she smiled shaking my hand. Gwen that's a pretty name I thought...

" Nice to meet you Gwen, so uh, you new here? I've never seen you before. " I asked.
" Actually yes, we just moved in here from Texas. " She replied.
" Nice! You know, I think I've been there before, like on tour. " I said, thinking back to when I was there.

" Oh nice! Where did- * text noise* One sec..." she said before checking her phone as her face fell.
" Hey so uh, my mom said I have to go...but, maybe we can finish this conversation later? " She questioned.
" Sure anytime. " I smiled, which made her do the same...Man she is pretty!

She then called her sister and told her to say bye to Sky, who seemed upset of her leaving too.
Just as they where leaving I thought, I have to see her again so I called, "Hey uh, Gwen wait up!"

She then turned around as me and Skylynn walked over to her, "Here's my number if you ever want to finish that conversation you know, or so these two can hang. "I said writing it on a piece of paper with a pen I happened to have in my pocket.

"Oh okay thanks!" she smiled as I waved them goodbye. I really hope she texts me...

"Ooooh Hayes has a crush!" Skylynn teased.
"Oh whatever, I just met her! Anyways...lets go home." I told her.
"Mmk" she replied, as I just laughed.

~At Home~

Once we got inside dinner was almost ready so Skylynn went too the kitchen with mom, while I went on the couch by Nash. "Sup bro, whatcha watching?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, just an old game." He replied. " Wait a minute!! Did you just talk to me?!?" Nash asked excitedly jumping off the couch.
"Yes...Is there something wrong with that?" I laughed.
"No! No! its just, you where upset before you left so..." he trailed off, sitting back down.

Oh yeah...I totally forgot...Miranda...my ex...
Seriously though...I didn't care anymore, all I wanted was Gwen, Like Sky said, I got a crush...

Later it was time for dinner, so I went to sit down and started eating my moms amazing chicken fried steak. When my mom asked " so how was the park you two?" Looking at me and Sky.

"I made a new friend named Madelyn there!" She squealed.
" That's great honey!" She replied
"OH! And Hayes got a girl friend." She smirked.

"What! No I didn't!" I said as my face went red.
"Aw is little Hayes embarrassed? " Nash teased.
"Shut up Nash!" I shot.

" Okay, so what actually happened then?" My mom asked.
" Well...Madelyn's sister was there and she was pretty , so I gave her my number to hang out." I said grinning.

"Nice bro! I gotta meet her now!" Nash said.
"Okay! Just gotta wait until she texts me." I said while looking down at my phone in my lap.

"Oh, hey don't worry too much about ok?" Nash comforted me.
"Yeah, ok..." I said getting up since I was done eating.

A little later I showered, got ready for bed and laid down... Still with no text from Gwen.

I started to worry that she wouldn't text me, until sleep slowly took over my body.
