Chapter Seven

Gwen's POV:

Today was Saturday, so I wasn't doing much but sit in my room and watch TV, and think about how Sunday will go.
I was quickly pulled from my thoughts when my mom yelled, "Gwen! Can you get the door please? I have raw meat on my hands!"

( My mom uses that excuse when cooking 😆 )

"Okay mom!" I yelled coming down the stairs to get the door.
As I came down the stairs I was trying to figure out who would be at the door, Hayes maybe?
Once I got to the door I decided to just open it and see, not looking through the peep-hole.

When I opened the door it was Saben, and we both screamed at the same time.
"Oh my gosh Gwen! I missed you SO MUCH!!" Saben exclaimed hugging me really tight.
"I've only been gone for two days!" I managed to get out through the squeezing.

"Oh well, so, nice house! Show me your room!!" She begged jumping up and down after letting me go.
"Okay.." I chuckled leading her to my room.
"Oooooh, nice! I love it..." Saben said while admiring the room.

"You know it's the same stuff from my old room..." I said, wondering why she was so amazed.
"Oh! I know, just, I don't know looks better in this room, like, the positioning." She answered sitting on my bed.
"Oh, I see." I answered joining her.

"Oh! Tell me more about Hayes!" she pleaded sitting strait-up and criss-crossed, waiting for an answer.
"Well..." I said sitting back against my pillowed headboard to face her.
"I actually saw him after the call at the store with mom and Madelyn." I started.

"Oh! Anything interesting?" she questioned, slightly raising an eyebrow.
"Hmm.." I said lifting my eyebrow up and down with my finger and thumb on my chin.
"Ha...ha... you win, I can barely lift my eyebrows, let alone up and down." she laughed, "But the store! Anything?" she asked once again.

( Can anyone do that with their eyebrows? *I can 😂* )

"Well, we just bumped into each other and then ease dropped on our moms talking about us to each other." I said flatly, because I really wanted to tell her about after the store.
"Oh! What did his mom say?" She asked anxiously waiting for an answer.

"Well, she said to mom 'So, when am I going to meet this daughter of yours Hayes has me talking about NON-STOP?' and then mom replied with saying how she heard me talking to you about him too." I said using a slightly higher voice during Hayes' mom's part.

"Oh wow" she laughed "I bet you where both embarrassed..." she continued to laugh until she realized something she said. "but, WAIT! His mom said he had been talking about you non-stop?!" She nearly screamed.
"Well, yeah.." I blushed, "But I still haven't even told you what happened AFTER the store." I stated.

"Oh! What then?" she eagerly asked.
"Well, we where by the park just watching the stars..." I begun.
"Uh, huh, continue!" She begged.

"Once it got cold he was so sweet and gave me his jacket and walked me home holding my hand!" I said so fast nearly running out of breath.
"OH MY GOSH!! GOALS!!!" she screamed pretty loudly covering her mouth once she realized as we both just laughed.

Once we stopped laughing my brother Ethan came in and said hello to Saben, with Madelyn coming in right after saying..."Um, mom said to tell you lunch is ready." then running down the stairs.

While we where eating the tacos my mom made for us, she also told Saben about the barbeque we where invited to Sunday.

"Gwen! Why didn't you tell me I get to meet Hayes tomorrow!" She slightly yelled as we left the table going to my room.
"I don't know...but oh! What should I wear!" I asked about to go to my closet until...

"Oh no! I think its mall time!" Saben smirked.
"Really! Aw but, I don't have much money, plus how will we get there?" I wined and asked.

"Well, you know money is no problem with me, AND I got my license!" she exclaimed jumping up and down.
"No way! Why didn't you tell me?!" I asked slightly upset.
"I guess it didn't come up, sorry." She apologized.

"Its no big deal, but come on! I wanna go to the mall!" I answered.
We then went down stairs and asked my mom if we could go and use the car, she was nervous, but let us.
"Oh my gosh, I cant wait!" I shrieked hopping in the passenger seat of the car.

"Me too! So, which store first?" she asked before starting the car.
"Hmm, probably Aeropostale." I decided, "Although, I don't know where it is so we'll just have to look." I finished.
"Its fine, and Aeropostale it is!" Saben smiled while still looking at the road and following the directions to the mall from her phone.

Once to the mall, we found Aeropostale. I then found a really cute tank top and Saben picked out one too, same style, but different print.

We then paired it with some colored shorts, also different, not so matchy that way, and flip flops.

After we picked that, we headed to the register and found food necklaces that matched, and some super cute best friend cases.

While picking those up we where done with the clothes, so we went to get our nails done ( I got coral, Saben got blue to match) we left the mall.

Once home we got home we where exhausted, so we just slipped in to comfy clothes and laid on the futon in the game room and watched divergent, but fell asleep fast. As I drifted to sleep, I dreamt of how Sunday would go...
