Hayes POV:

We finished our grocery shopping pretty quick, because we didn't get that much from the store.

On the way home though was when it all begun.
"So, that's Gwen?" my mom said with a huge grin on her face.

"Yeah... why do you not like her??" I asked nervously, because she typically doesn't like all my crushes/girlfriends.
"No! I actually do like her, chill." she said sounding impressed, and reaching over to grab my hand and rubbing my knuckles.
I then just smiled, let go, and looked out the window until we got home.

Once we got there I carried the groceries in and went on the couch, and found Nash.
"Hey man, how was the store?" he asked with a tone of expecting a 'nothing much' answer.
"Well, I saw Gwen there." I smiled widely.

"Yup, and I invited her and her family to the barbecue tomorrow." my mom said joining us in the room.
"What! So I'm the only one who hasn't met Gwen yet?" Nash asked.
"Well...yeah, but you will meet her on Sunday." I replied.

"True, well I got to go, Cam's trying to FaceTime me." Nash said.
"Why?" I asked
"Well, he might visit soonish." he said.
"Fun!" I answered as he nodded and walked to his room.

Just then Gwen texted me...

Text Convo:

G- Hey! So you said you still wanted to hang?

H- Yeah! Wanna meet at the park?

G- Err it's a little dark, but ok!

H- Great see ya soon!

With that I then grabbed a jacket, cause it gets cooler at night and walked to the park. When I got there she wasn't there yet so I sat on a bench by the lake and waited.

Then as I was looking at the water thinking bout Gwen, there she was.
"Boo!" she yelped jumping in front of me and I slightly jumped.

"Got you!" she said laughing so hard she fell on the ground as I joined her.
Then we just laid there, looking at the stars, making small conversations.

It then started to get late, and I could hear a shiver in her voice when she spoke, meaning she was cold so I asked...
"Hey, are you cold?" as she just nodded and giggled huddling in a ball.
"Here, have my jacket." I said putting it around her as she thanked me.

"It's a getting late Hayes, I think I need to go home, but its dark." She said
"I'll walk you home." I smiled, even though it meant I had to walk there then back through the park and then to my house.

As we walked home our hands where swinging at our sides when they hit each other, I then reached for her hand and held it. After I grabbed her hand she blushed then smiled that beautiful smile of hers and squeezed my hand, making me smile back.

When we got to her house I walked her all the way to the door and was about to leave when she asked...
"Oh! I almost forgot, you probably want your jacket back right?"

"Uh.. You can just keep it for now, plus you look cute in it!" I said causing her to blush bright red, even though I was freezing, which I guess she noticed cause she then said...
"Well thank you, but its cold outside, and its your jacket...plus you have to walk even further now so here." as she handed me my jacket back.

"Thanks." I chuckled putting it on as she said she had a great time and I left walking home, just thinking about her.
Already missing her when I walked inside my house. Sunday should be great.
