Chapter Four

Gwen's POV:

After I started to set up my room furniture with the help of my brother Ethan.
"So? You said you met someone at the park yesterday?" He asked.

"Yup!" I replied happily.
"It's a boy huh?" he asked smirking.
"Pff no........yes ." I said laughing.

"I knew it, but listen, this boy..." He started.
"Yeah, yeah, I know if anything happens I can come to you for help, don't worry! I did just meet him you know." I laughed.
"I know, just gotta protect my sissy poo!" He joked while putting the last furniture piece down.

"You too!" He exclaimed tickling Madelyn who just ran in the room.
"Ahh! Stt-oo-p it E-th-an!" she screeched between breaths.
"Okay, see you! " He said to me.

"Thanks Ethan!" I hollered down the hall as he walked to his room.
"No problem!" He yelled back from his room.

I then un-packed all my clothes in the dresser and made my bed. After that I stood in the door way and admired my new finished room. Then I ran down the stairs and jumped on the couch to text Hayes, that is when my mom called.

"Gwen! Madelyn! I'm going to the store and wondered if both of my girls would come with me!" She asked.
"Aww but mom! I don't really wanna go.." I wined.

"Oh just come!" She begged standing by the door with Madelyn on her hip.
"Fine." I said and slid my phone in my pocket and joined my mom and Madelyn.

Ill just text Hayes after I thought.

~At the Store~ (Skipped car ride)

We started off at the produce since we where on a full grocery trip. Then to chips and other snacks, until we go to the cheeses my mom asked...

"Hey Gwen, I forgot the crackers, will you got grab them real quick please?"
"Sure, anything to get away from the cold section!" I laughed.

( Am I the only one who freezes there in the store? )

As I made my way over to the isle again I saw the crackers and quickly grabbed them and stated to walk fast while chasing the lights reflection on the floor....Until I bumped in to someone....

( I also used to do that at the store 😂)

"Oh! I'm sorry." I heard a familiar voice say , but didn't recognize who it was.
"No no I'm sorry, should have been looking where I was going." I said looking up realizing it was Hayes.

"Oh its no problem, Gwen." he said as I looked up with a smile growing on his face.
"Well, I was just heading back to my mom by the cheeses, where you going?" I asked.
"You won't believe this but, my mom told me to meet her there too." He chuckled.

"Well then, if Skylynn came too I bet they will shriek when they see each other!" I said.
"She did come so...." He said before getting cut off by a scream from across the store...

"Madelyn!!" I assumed Skylynn screamed.
"Woah! Good guess!" Hayes laughed as I joined him, both walking down the isle, back to our moms.

( Walked down the isle 😆 Not that isle....yet 😏)

"Wait!" I tugged Hayes back, "They're talking..." I said wanting to eavesdrop.
"Oooooh okay..." Hayes smirked.

As we started to listen I soon realized they where talking about us, while Skylynn and Madelyn where talking too.
"Yeah! So, your Gwen's mom right?" Hayes mom asked.
"Yes! And you are Hayes' mom?" My mom replied and asked. I then thought, how did she know Hayes? I bet she heard me and Saben I guessed.

"So, when am I going to meet this daughter of yours Hayes has me talking about NON-STOP?" She asked as I just laughed while Hayes' face literally turned tomato red.
"No way! I heard her talking about him too, to her cousin!" My mom laughed while I hid my face and Hayes laughed.

"Oh and...she is here...." My mom said looking around as me and Hayes tucked our heads back behind the isle.
"Oh! Hayes is here too! I bet the are together now." His mom replied.

"Okay...well I think that's enough eavesdropping." Hayes said slightly embarrassed, like me but both laughing still as we walked over to our moms.

"Hey mom! Guess who I bumped into?" Hayes asked.
"Well, actually I bumped into you!" I laughed.
"Well, true." He chuckled.

"Nice to finally meet you Gwen!" Hayes mom told me.
"You too!" I greeted back.
While Hayes did the same to my mom.

When we where just about to continue shopping Hayes mom said...
"Oh! I just remembered, we are having a barbeque this Sunday and my husband is inviting some friends to watch the game, so I was going to ask if you and your family could come?" She asked my mom.

"That would be great actually! Any sides or things we should bring?" My mom answered and asked.
"Oh no, just bring yourselves!" she smiled.
"Okay! See you then!" she said as her and Hayes mom walked off, which left me and Hayes standing there.

"So? I know it might be late, but you still down to hang out later?" Hayes asked anxiously.
"Love to." I smiled, which made him do the same, I love his smile I thought as we just looked at each other.

"Uhh, alright great!" he said rubbing the back of his neck.
"I'll text you." I said about to go back to my mom as he did the same and said
"Okay."

We then drove home and un-packed all the groceries, as I was thinking about Hayes the whole time.
I then texted him after we where done....
