Hazel stood outside of the small house in Godric's Hollow.  She smoothed out the front of her light blue dress before softly knocking on the door.  Not even a full second later, a smiling James had opened the door.

"Hazel!" He shouts, wrapping her in a bone-crushing hug.

"Hello James." She laughs, hugging him back before pulling away.  James led her inside and to the others, who all were completely shocked at the sight of her.

"Hi everyone," Hazel smiles awkwardly, shifting her weight from foot to foot.

Remus was quick to get up, appearing at Hazel's side.

"James told us you responded no to coming," Remus says, before wrapping her in a hug, "It's so good to see you."

"It's good to see you too, Remus." Hazel mumbles into his hair.

Once pulling away, the others crowd around her and continue to wrap her in hugs, Sirius' a little longer and tighter than everyone else's.  Once the hello's are out of the way, Lily leads her to the couch, where a small baby was smiling.

"This is Harry," Lily says, picking him up and motioning for Hazel to sit down.  She then places Harry in Hazel's arms, "Harry James Potter."

Hazel laughs lightly, "Of course James had to incorporate his name somewhere in there."

The other laugh.  Hazel is stuck staring at the small, precious baby she is holding in her arms.  He was beautiful.  When she looked up, she noticed James and Lily, staring down in awe at their new born son.  She had previously told herself she was over James Potter, but now, in this moment, she knew she was.

She loved James.  And she would continue loving him for the rest of her life, but seeing him so happy with Lily, and now Harry, made her realize something.  He would have never been this happy with her, and that's okay.

"We were hoping-" Lily began, James quickly cutting her off, clearly too eager to keep the secret in any longer.

"That you would be his Godmother!" James finishes, Hazel quickly shooting her head up at the couple.

"You want me? To be his Godmother?" She questions, as the two nod excitedly.  "Oh goodness, I'm honored guys, but, I've been selfish."

Hazel sighs before continuing.  "I just got up one day and left, I didn't visit once, I didn't even check up on you guys until recently.  Who is to say I won't do it again?"

"You left to better yourself, Hazel, you're not selfish," James says, taking a seat next to her.  "And it's alright.  It's in the past.  All that matters is the present."

Hazel smiles towards James, before looking back down at Harry, who already was beginning to resemble him so much.

"I would love to be Harry's godmother."
