Chapter 17: Untold Feelings

I looked at the two at the other side of the pool. Felicity and Lucky were actually having a normal conversation for the first time.

The one I noticed was Lucky's eyes. They were mellow and calm, things that we never saw for a long time. He looks genuinely happy, like how the old Lucky was.

They were so immersed in each other's presence that they didn't noticed how long me and the others are staring at them.

I then glanced at Hanz, he was staring at them too. I was expecting a hint of pain and jealousy in his stare but neither were present. Why isn't he jealous?

"I wish Lucky is like that everyday." Jazper whispered that was audible for some including me.

After a moment of staring we all looked away when Felicity jumped into the water and started swimming as fast as she could to our direction. Lucky followed a few seconds after chasing Felicity.

Felicity quickly hid behind Cara while giggling. "Lucky, no!" she squealed while trying to fit herself behind Cara's back.

"Done watching?" I was startled by Hanz' presence beside me.

I've been avoiding him these past few days. I was embarrassed of running away from him, but here I am still doing it.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." I lied and started walking away...again.

I heard him sigh and say, "We'll talk later." my heart raced after his plea, nervousness ate me.

"Hey talk to me please.." he pleaded while we were in the car.

I bit my lip making sure I won't say anything that I'll regret later. I knew the others were up to something.

"Alice what's wrong, you were never like this, what happened to us?"

'Oh I wish I can tell you what I feel, but there might be no more us to exist when I speak.'

I sat on one of the tables and poured some alcohol on my cup. I drank it whole, as alcohol poured down to my throat so us my tears.

"You really like him don't you?" I was startled to see Felicity sitting on a chair across mine, with her warm smile.

"How d-did you know?" I stammered, of all people why Felicity?

"Your thoughts are loud and I can hear your heart race when he's around." she smiled widely.

"Please don't tell anybody.." I looked down and pleaded. I might sound desperate but I really don't want anyone to know.

"We won't tell anyone, don't worry." she then looked at a direction.

I followed her gaze and saw Hanz and Lucky talking on the other side of the pool. I looked around and the other guys were on a large table talking while drinking and eating.

I looked back at Felicity with wide eyes, mind manipulation. I noticed her hair was still wet meaning that she just got out of the water.

She held my hand that was on the table and said, "I know it's hard telling your feelings with a 50% chance that he'll return your feelings. But if you keep avoiding him it might come the time that he'll fall for another while you're still falling deeper into him."

"Fall for another? He doesn't even like me."

I was puzzled with her statement but she just chuckled lightly and said, "Look into his eyes Alice, then you'll know the truth." then she left leaving me confused, his eyes?

I sighed as I was about to drink another glass, but a hand held my wrist and stopped me from doing it.

Hanz.

He swiftly took the cup away from my grasp. "Hey!" I tried to get it back from him but it was impossible since the table was wide.

I just sat defeated as tears rolled down my eyes. "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—"

"Why are you making everything hard for me?" I saw him froze on his spot with wide eyes. "Why is it hard for you to see? Why can't you see?" I asked again.

"Alice you're drunk, let's go." he grabbed my arm but I forcefully pulled it back.

"I'm not drunk Hanz! I'm not!" I shouted not caring if anyone will here.

"Come on Alice, you're  making it hard for me too." I saw pain in his eyes while watching me be miserable.

"No! You're just blind! Fucking blind!" I continuously hit his chest, growing more and more weak. He was holding my wrist, trying to stop me.

"What are you saying? Alice.." he sounded confused.

"Why can't you see Hanz? Why can't you see that I love you?" I felt him stood frozen.

My shattered heart turned to dust when he let me go and walked away. I cried even more.

"I'm sorry Alice, I didn't know that he was going to walk away. I'm sorry." Felicity looked at me with apologetic eyes before hugging me.

"D-don't be sorry, it's not your fault that he likes you and not me." I said im between my sobs.

"He.. he doesn't like me Alice."

"No, he told me he likes you."

She cupped my cheeks and motioned me to look at her. "He never liked me Alice because.." she took a deep breath before continuing.

"..he have always loved you."
